LOS ALAMITOS TB
Race 1
Pedroza and Peter Miller hook up with first time starter No. 2 My Mel Mar who has been looking for a race, this 2yo filly looks fast. No. 6 Evolve ran an even race first out with straight maidens back in May at Santa Anita, she comes back and drops and finds little to beat. 2-6
Race 2
No. 2 Albeit gets her second start at this $20k level off a good second last out and the filly who finished behind her that day came back and won next out. No. 3 Open Enrollment may like the streatchout. No. 4 Yavrig will be the speed. 2-3-4
Race 3
No. 1 Woot Woot gets a nice jockey upgrade, she was well bet in her one start but will need to flee the rail in this five furlong sprint. Stew Elliott gets a ride for Steven Miyadi on first time starter Queen Bee to You who looks very live in this spot. No. 5 Prize Package could just be that, she is a first time starter out of the dam Vezina who has dropped 7 winners from 7 starters. No. 7 Golden Silence gets blinkers on a drop in class and a new jock in this her second start, we look for much better today. 1-5-7
Race 4
No. 5 Success Rate could not find an easier spot first off the claim, after that we need to hit the all button in this wide open 5 1/2 furlong sprint. 5 or all.
Race 5
This bad card doesn’t get any easier as we get $50k maiden fillies and mares going 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 3 Sweet Judy ran here back in December and should little with straight maidens, the drop will help her today, we see much better. No. 4 Nighty Night is a first time starter out of the dam All Night Long who has dropped five winners from five starters. No. 8 Bahia owns a nice last work for her debut. 3-4-8
Race 6
No. 1 Cut exits good race in which the second place finisher won next out at odds on, Cut was a close 4th but the rail is not the place to be in this 5-1/2 furlong sprint. No. 3 Gemstorm exits the same race, he had the lead until the top of the lane. Baffert sends out first time starter No. 4 Popularity who they paid $100k for, the works are typical BB. No. 8 Ghost Machine is a first timer for Sadler who looks very live in this very tough 2yo maiden race. No. 7 Datcatsa Gem ran big first out but moves up in class. 1-3**-4-7-8
Race 7
They go flat mile in the feature today, No. 1 Grazen Sky has run here two times and finished second both times. No. 6 Chief of Staff is one of two Hollendorfer runners, he is the one we like. 1-6
Race 8
This very tough card ends with $20k maiden 3yo going 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 8 Patron looks odds on with the big drop as he looks to get the win and for someone to claim this $200k colt from him, its him or pass.
