Race 1

No. 4 Working gets just his second start, exits a race in which the second place finisher came back to score next out. He will be gunning from the start. No. 1 Latitude gets Espinoza riding for Hollendorfer and that’s a good hook up. No. 5 Mago Blanco is the price play here at 5/1 in this six-horse field. 1-4-5

Race 2

No. 1 Friendly Outthedor gets off the grass and finds a soft field, he will get a great rail trip. No. 3 Stonegate gets just his second start, he goes long off his first try which was down the hill at Santa Anita. No. 6 Regulate looks the one to beat but will be a short price. 6-1-3

Race 3

We will go singling here using No. 2 Louden’s Gray who is on a two-race win streak. He gets his first start off the John Martin claim and it’s a good sign he puts this 7yo gelding in this claim proof spot. His last work signals he is feeling good and he has the right running style for this race.  2***

Race 4

Maiden 2yo fillies go five furlongs. No. 1 Bellafina is a first-timer for Callaghan and Prat gets on and that is a good sign. No. 2 Keeper Ofthe Stars is a first-timer for Hollendorfer and he puts his go-to bug boy on, Asa Espinoza. No. 5 Lil Miss Moppet is a Baffert first-timer who they paid $400k for, he is a must use. 1-2-5

Race 5

No. 1 Above Board will be gunning from the rail in this mile race, catch him if you can. No. 5  Pappou will fall into a tracking position while No. 6 Sunny Kat 10/1 will look to run them both down on the drop. 1-5-6

Race 6

Maiden fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 1 So I Sang comes off the layoff, she ran three good races last year and gets Asa Espinoza up for the hot Hollendorfer barn. No. 3 Now Blessed may have bounced last out, she got some rest and can win this if able to run to her race one back. No. 4 Suspicious Spouse has the hot riding H Figueroa up for Peter Miller, she is the filly to beat. No. 7 A Little Unruly is a first-time Baffert runner with Van Dyke riding. 4*-1-3-7

Race 7

2yo maidens go five furlongs. No. 4 Feeling Strong ran a better than looked race in his one start and can only move forward off of that effort. No. 5 Oliver exits our HTW list. He was left at the gate in his one start but made a big late wide run to finish a close third. No. 8 Nice Haircut gets off the grass and back sprinting on the dirt, look for better. 5-4-8

Race 8


No. 2 Soi Phet is a 10yo who can still motor and has won four times on this course, his last work says he is feeling his oats. No. 3 Magic Mark finished second in this race last year. No. 6 B Squared finished a head behind Soi Phet one race back. 2-3-6

Race 9

Calif. bred optional $20k runners go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Rinse and Repeat comes off a long layoff and gets a huge drop in class by O’Neill. No. 5 Sunset Seven also comes off the layoff, he won at first asking last year at Santa Anita and now comes back in this spot. No. 9 Catfish Hunter is the key runner in here as he is in top form and the one to catch. No. 10 Fire to the Wire is also in top form and has good early speed. 9***-4-5-10
