Race 1

We start off with just another five horse field. The hot bug boy J. C. Diaz Jr. gets on No. 2 Kennedy Sky on the big drop. No. 4 Excavation also drops and gets the bug boy Jorge Velez off a bullet last work. 2-4

Race 2

No. 4 Best Two Minutes is in top form for this level and won in his only start here. No. 5 Market Sentiment looks the speed of the speed in yet another five horse race. 4-5

Race 3

We get another five horse field and this race sets up for No. 3 Tengs Rhythm who will sit off the hot pace and mow them down at the wire. No. 4 Heart of the Nile goes from turf to dirt and a route to a sprint, she will also be making a late run. 3-4

Race 4

Yet another five horse field, $16k fillies and mares going a mile. No. 4 Beyond Pleasure is perfectly spotted off the huge maiden win. No. 2 Atina drops and gets off the grass, she will be making a late run.

Race 5

Just can’t believe it but yet another five horse field, this time $40k optional fillies and mares going six furlongs. No. 3 Qahira comes off a four month layoff with some big works for Joseph Talamo/Bob Baffert. No. 2 Hello Bubbles is a good fit in this spot, she had a nice prep and looks ready to fire a big shot. 2-3

Race 6

We get six runners before scratches in this $16k mile race. No. 3 Polity gets his second start off the layoff. A bullet work and a stretchout, all systems look a go! 3

Race 7

No. 5 Pontantico exits a good try last out at Santa Anita at this mile dirt distance. No. 6 Street Class just missed last out when beating Pontantico. Kent Desormeaux is in for the ride as he rode him last time out. No. 8  Justin’s Quest was a nose in front of Street Cass in that race and owns a big last work. 5-6-8

Race 8

We get optional $40k runners going 1 1/16. No. 1 All Good looked super last out when breaking his maiden and Drayden Van Dyke strings along. No. 3 Rocko’s Wheel has been looking for a spot. 1-3

Race 9

The day ends with a full field of ten $20k maiden claimers going 5 ½ furlongs. No. 8 Mr. Class comes off the layoff for Keith Desormeaux and gets the very capable jockey Saul Arias in the irons. This colt owns some good works for this, the price will be juicy and he won here last year but had his number taken down. 8**
