The Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers are deadlocked at a game apiece entering Friday night’s pivotal third game of their first-round playoff series. Connor McDavid and Edmonton are favored on the road in the latest Kings vs. Oilers Game 3 odds and we break down available betting markets right here.
The Kings got the split in Edmonton with a 4-3 overtime win in Game 1 before the Oilers rebounded with a 4-2 win in Game 2. The series is playing out similarly to last year when Edmonton lost the opener and needed seven games to oust LA.
Given that the Oilers and Kings split their regular season series, 2-2, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if this one also goes the distance. Edmonton led the league in goals (325) during the regular season with Connor McDavid notching 64 as the NHL’s top sniper.
Surprisingly, McDavid has yet to score in this series, but Leon Draisaitl has three goals and two assists through the first two games. LA goaltender Joonas Korpisalo has been the standout player for the Kings with 70 combined saves so far.

Kings vs. Oilers Game 3 Odds & Series Price
The Oilers are the -260 favorite to win the series at DraftKings, which opened at that price. The Kings were being dealt as +210 underdogs as of Thursday.
Here are Kings vs. Oilers predictions, odds, props, and Game 3 betting lines at top-rated online sportsbooks.

Kings vs. Oilers Game 3 Props
Our prop picks have been on point so far in this series. In Game 1, McDavid went Over 3.5 shots on goal and Stuart Skinner sailed Over 27.5 saves. In Game 2, we rolled with Leon Draisaitl going Over 1.5 points at +120. He responded with a goal and two assists.
Player props are not yet available at DraftKings, but we’ll be targeting Connor McDavid to register his first goal of the series and the Over on Korpisalo’s saves.
Draisaitl has been the best player on the ice through two games. He has now amassed 60 playoff points in 38 games, putting him in rarefied air with Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux.

We’ll also consider riding the hot hand with Draisaitl, focusing on props for his shots and points in Game 3.
Kings vs. Oilers Prediction
The Kings will look to rebound on home ice after a painfully slow start in Game 2. It took LA 18 minutes to record its first shot on goal against Skinner.
The Kings went down 2-0 and overcame a two-goal deficit for the second time in the series. Phillip Danault and Gabriel Vilardi each tallied goals for the Kings in a losing cause.
Edmonton did what it needed to do to avoid an 0-2 hole. It’s troubling that the Oilers squandered another two-goal lead, but we expect them to take control of the series in Game 3.
The Kings utilize a 1-3-1 defensive approach that’s helped slow McDavid’s rushes into the offensive zone. He’ll look to find some more open ice in Game 3, and we’re banking on him to hit the score sheet.
We cashed on Game 2 by taking Edmonton -1.5 goals at +120. That was a nice hit, but let’s lay some juice and back the Oilers at -140 on the moneyline in Game 3.
After Edmonton lost the opener at home, we touted Edmonton at +400 to win the Western Conference. That price has now dropped to +330 at DraftKings.
