The LPGA has its first Official Betting Operator, announcing an agreement with BetMGM, who will list LPGA odds in their family of gambling products.
This multi-year deal adds to BetMGM’s status as a betting operator in professional golf. Previously, the company entered agreements as betting operators for the PGA Tour and European Tour.
As part of this deal, BetMGM will be permitted to use the official LPGA logos on their gaming apps and sportsbooks.
“Sports betting and digital gaming are key elements of the future of sports, and BetMGM is on the forefront of both opportunities,” said Brian Carroll, senior vice president of global media distribution for the LPGA, in a news release announcing the deal. “We are happy to partner with them as we look to provide more opportunities for our fans to interact with the LPGA and learn about our incredible athletes.”
Lance Evans, MGM Resorts’ senior vice president for sports and sponsorships, added: “MGM Resorts’ commitment to golf is unparalleled and is further strengthened by our new partnership with the LPGA Tour.”
BetMGM is headquartered in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and is owned by MGM Resorts International. They have official partnerships with several professional sports leagues, including the NBA, NHL, and Major League Baseball.
