Maple Leafs vs. Panthers Game 4 Betting News

Maple Leafs
When it’s not your series, breaks fall the wrong way.
Toronto finally got a scoreless first period from goaltender Ilya Samsonov and grabbed a 1-0 lead at intermission in Game 3. But Samsonov was injured at the start of the second period and did not return. He was taken off the ice after a collision with his own teammate, Luke Schenn.
Backup goaltender Joseph Woll was thrown right into the fire, being left defenseless by Duclair’s breakaway goal to tie it. Samsonov’s health improved on Monday and Toronto is hopeful he will go, but that answer probably won’t come until Wednesday.
Toronto’s big guns have fallen silent.
Auston Matthews hasn’t scored in this series. Nor has William Nylander. That’s a big goose egg for the Leafs’ 40-goal regular-season scorers. John Tavares, 36 goals, is scoreless too. So is Mitch Marner, whose 99 points led the team.
As the nucleus has gone cold, so have the Leafs. They have scored only two goals in every game of the series.
If the Leafs are going to stir in this series, the nucleus must step up.
Panthers
There’s a different hero every night. In Game 3, it was Sam Reinhart hustling behind the net and putting home the wraparound goal in overtime. That might put the wraps on this series.
Anthony Duclair continues gaining important goals for Florida. He sneaked behind the defense to notch Florida’s first tally, tying Game 3, 1-1.
Bettors who had Duclair or Aaron Ekblad to notch a power-play point cashed in dramatic fashion. The goal occurred with one second left in the power play.
Sergei Bobrovsky continues to outplay his opposing goaltender. He did well enough in Game 3, stopping 22-of-24 shots. The Florida netminder unfurls some of his best postseason hockey this year.
The Panthers have a franchise-record six straight playoff victories. They have come from behind in four of them.
Florida is on a 13-4-1 roll, which includes a 6-1-1 finish to the regular season and a 7-3 postseason mark.
The Panthers try to make the conference finals for the first time since 1996.
