The NBA conference semifinals are underway, with the Warriors and Mavericks set to meet Tuesday night in Game 1 of the West Finals. Let’s dive into some player props and same-game parlays offered by sportsbooks for the series opener.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Golden State Warriors Game 1 Odds

The consensus series price has Golden State as -225 favorites to advance to the NBA Finals, with Dallas getting back odds of around +185. In Game 1, the Warriors lay around 5 points, per Tuesday morning’s lines.

Mavs vs. Warriors Game 1 Player Props

Luka Doncic ‘Over’ 9.5 Rebounds (-118, FanDuel)

While the price for backing Luka Doncic to record a double-double is -250, bettors can lay just -118 for Doncic to grab double-digit rebounds. The latter looks like value.

Doncic has always been great at cleaning the glass, but he has been exceptional during these playoffs, where he has secured at least 10 boards in seven of 10 contests.

Golden State likes to go small by going guard-heavy and putting 6-foot-6 Draymond Green at the five, but it comes at a cost in the rebounding department. Doncic will feast on the Dubs’ small-ball lineup.

H2H Points: Jalen Brunson ‘More Points’ vs. Klay Thompson (+130, DraftKings)

Klay Thompson tallied 30 points in Golden State’s series-clinching Game 6 win against Memphis but scored fewer than 22 in the other five games.

Brunson is a more valuable scorer to the Mavs than Thompson is to the Warriors. On any given night, Thompson can defer to Steph Curry, Jordan Poole, and even Andrew Wiggins.

Brunson doesn’t have the luxury to take a backseat to teammates other than Doncic. He’s the second-best scorer and easily the second scoring option on the team (9.7 points and 7.6 shots per game clear of the next Maverick).

Same-Game Parlay

Klay Thompson ‘Under’ 21.5 Points; Andrew Wiggins 1+ Blocks; Jalen Brunson 1+ Steals (+370, DraftKings)

Aside from his 30-piece in Game 6, Thompson fell under 21.5 points in all five other games. He embraces the “Game 6 Klay” narrative, but he may be reliant on it as well.

Wiggins has blocked one-plus shots in each of his last five games. He has three games with two-plus swats.

Brunson has a knack for pickpocketing ball handlers and intercepting balls in passing lanes, as shown in his game-by-game steal totals. He has swiped one-plus steals in seven of his last nine games.
