As of last week, the Mega10 Megakeno 10-spot was over $2.2 million and rising. In Las Vegas the Excalibur, El Cortez, and Plaza offer the better Megakeno rates, thus this is your chance to try to hit it big.

While all the Megakeno participating casinos pay the same on the 10-spot payouts, the above Las Vegas casinos have the better pay tables for the 5- thru 9-spot for less than progressive payouts.

Playing groups of 5-5-5 gives you three ways to hit a 10 and if you feel the 5-spot is high enough to be worth playing, it also gives you three ways to hit a 5. If you feel you may hit a fair amount of numbers scattered among the groups then you can play a regular 15-spot on a separate ticket to cover that possibility

Many of the casinos will not want you to mix Megakeno and regular tickets on the same ticket anyway. Playing just the 10s will cost you $4.50, playing the 10s and the 5s will cost you $9. If you add a $1 15-spot on a separate ticket you are looking at an “investment” of $10 per game.

Want to cover everything? Play groups of 1-2-3-4-5, giving you a 15 (played on a separate not Megakeno ticket), a 14 (played separately also), a 12 (played separately), two 12s (played separately), two 11s (played separately), 3 Mega 10s, a Mega 9, a Mega 8, two Mega 7s, three Mega 6s, and three Mega 5s. You can play all the Megakeno as $1.50 ways on the same ticket and all the 11- thru 15-spot plays on the same separate ticket at $1 per way.

Another option is to take advantage of low way ticket minimums offered at some casinos. While you will give up your chance to hit the progressive there are a lot of good pays available for solid hits at even lower rate tickets. The Deano rate at The D allows these lower minimum rates and even returns 85% on the average, the best in town for lower level tickets. I shall call this a Super Ticket where you play all possible ways at 10 cents a way (allowed at The D on their Deano rate).

With groupings of 1-2-3-4-5 you have 31 total ways or $3.10 per game playing all possible ways from 1 to 15. This should definitely keep you in the action! The keno lounge at The D is adjacent to the sportsbook, thus you can play at the same time you are betting and seeing 22 grown men fighting over an egg! While The D does not have MegaKeno their excellent Deano rate with its 85% return is a good trade off.

As you can see, the keno option available gives you a lot of action and chances to take a nice win. Best of luck!
