Welcome back to another full day of baseball. We have a nice 10-game slate starting this afternoon. This gives bettors plenty of opportunities to place an MLB wager, including any time home run bets. Here, we will break down our two favorite MLB home run prop picks for Thursday, Aug. 24.

Our picks did not produce a winner last night, but one of the games got rained out, so we only had one active home run prop last night. Luckily, we are back with two home run picks with great odds tonight.

Let’s look at our best MLB home run prop picks for Thursday night.

MLB Home Run Picks (08/24/2023)

Ryan Noda enters tonight with a .232/.383/.418 slash with 11 home runs and a 133 wRC+.

Remember that the odds for home run props change throughout the day. This means the odds for our home run picks may differ from when you place a wager on them. This is why shopping the odds from the top sportsbooks is essential to maximizing your profits.

Ryan Noda (+340, FanDuel)

Although Oakland has been painful to watch this season, a few exciting young players like Ryan Noda are on the team. The 27-year-old rookie enters tonight with a .232/.383/.418 slash with 11 home runs and a 133 wRC+.

While he strikes out at a very high rate, he also has a 17.7% BB%, which ranks in the 99th percentile, and he is also in the 98th percentile in chase rate. He has only played eight games since the All-Star break due to injury, and in the three games he’s played this month, Noda has not struck out.

The high walk rate is nice, but what is even better about Noda’s game is that he crushes the ball. He ranks in the 87th percentile in Barrel% and the top 30% of the league in average exit velocity and HardHit%. In the three games he’s played this month, he only has 1 hard hit, but he still has a 91.5 mph exit velocity and a wOBA of .512. Even though he is due for some overall regression at the plate, when Noda gets ahold of one, they go a long way.

He also has the advantage of playing at Guaranteed Rate Field tonight, as the wind will be blowing out heavily tonight. With the wind, BallParkPal.com is giving the A’s vs. White Sox matchup a 53% boost on home runs. It also helps that he will go up against a terrible White Sox pitching staff and a rookie in Jesse Scholtens, who does not give up a ton of barrels but has not been great over his last five starts.

Adolis Garcia (+430, FanDuel)

Shockingly, we are getting a good price on Adolis Garcia to hit a home run tonight. Entering tonight, Garcia has put up career highs in Barrel% (15.9%) and ISO (.252), and he is tied with his career-best for home runs (31).

He has slowed down a bit since the All-Star break, but even with his struggles, he is still hitting the ball out of the park. In August, Garcia’s BA is down to .214, but he still has six home runs in 19 games, and his Barrel% still sits at an incredible 15%.

Minnesota is not a great hitters-ballpark, and the Twins have Pablo Lopez on the mound tonight. Lopez has been pitching out of his mind this month, with a 0.36 ERA through four starts, and he has not allowed a home run. He has a challenge tonight against the best run-scoring team in baseball, but he has been great as the Twins try to lock up the AL Central.

However, Garcia is just way too great of a power hitter not to take him at this number. He is actually slightly better against right-handed pitching, as he slashes .259/.378/.500 with a .878 OPS and a .241 ISO. He is not hitting the ball as well as he did earlier this season, but he still has his power stroke and should be in a good spot, at a reasonable price, to hit another home run tonight.

MLB Home Run Prop Parlay Odds

You can parlay our MLB home run prop bets to maximize your winnings for tonight’s action. At FanDuel, our home run picks parlayed would give you +2232 odds, which means a $100 bettor would win $2,232 if both home run props cash tonight.

Keep in mind that the odds are so high for a reason. It is hard to pick a single home run prop, let alone a two-leg parlay. But our home run picks have been perfect at times this season, and if our home run picks for tonight hit, you will walk away with a nice chunk of change.
