Orlando City vs. Atlanta United Odds: Moneyline & Total

The game to watch this week is Orlando and Atlanta. With these two teams sitting in the top 10 of the Eastern Conference standings heading into this week, it will be one of the more competitive matchups. Atlanta has only lost three of their all-time matchups against Orlando, with each of the clubs going 1-1-1 in their last three times out. Read more on the matchup and odds below.

Atlanta United is the highest-scoring team in MLS right now, scoring 28 times in 14 matches. With that being said, Atlanta has also not won one of their last six games on the road, despite taking the lead in three of those six matches. Even with all the losses on the road, Atlanta still leads the league with 12 away game goals on the season so far.

Contributing to the impressive offensive record for Atlanta this season is Giorgos Giakoumakis. The striker was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday after last week’s performance in the 3-3 draw against Chicago. Giakoumakis recorded a brace coming off the bench and has eight goals on the season so far.

Orlando City falls to the opposite problem, only having won one of their last seven home games. They don’t exactly have the “home-field advantage” as most teams do. The club has recorded 11 wins on the road and only eight wins at home this season.

When considering player props this weekend, fans should note that Orlando’s Ercan Kara has scored in the last three MLS matches. If he can score Saturday, he will become the fourth player in Orlando’s history to score in four straight matches in a single season. Kara is tied with Duncan McGuire on offense, both scoring four goals and recording two assists so far this season.

While these two teams have been on a scoring spree, Atlanta’s track record on the road and Orlando’s poor home record sets up an evenly-matched game. Atlanta averages 3.7 goals per match (GPM) this season and Orlando increased their start of the season from 0.88 GPM to 1.20 GPM. While not as impressive as Atlanta’s, they have shown improvement and are on an offensive roll in their last three games.

Prediction: 2-2 draw
