There’s a saying in show business, “The show must go on.” This doesn’t ring any truer than with Las Vegas’ own Anne Martinez.

One of the most respected, well-liked, and hardest working entertainers on the planet, Anne is the epitome of “The show must go on.”

When asked for a quote about Anne Martinez, Vegas headliner and one of the Strip’s biggest attractions, Chris Phillips aka Zowie Bowie, said: “Anne is without question, one of the most incredible all around mega talents Las Vegas has to offer. Between her razor sharp vocal perfection, her unbridled abundance of child-like energy and her stunningly gorgeous face with those animated Disney eyes, she has established herself as the ultimate Vegas singing superhero.”

The Rochester, N.Y., native started performing professionally as a ballerina at the young age of eight. She graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Fredonia with a BFA in acting and an MFA from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

This multi-talented lady has theater credits spanning from New York to the United Kingdom, starring in such known productions as “Pippin,” “Miss Saigon,” “Cinderella” and “The Who’s Tommy” just to name a few. She has toured North America as a vocalist with such big names as Engelbert Humperdinck and John Payne/Lou Gramm.

After tackling the cruise ship circuit, she then joined her husband, traveling across the country to Las Vegas, where he was offered a job with the production show, “O.” In her first week in town on her very first audition, she was offered a starring role in the show “Bite.”

Making her name as one of the Strip’s most masterful performers, Martinez has graced the stages of Strip locales the Palazzo, SLS, Bally’s, Stratosphere, PH, Wynn and the Luxor in hit shows “BAZ,” “Totally Outrageous Brunch,” “Jubilee!,” “Pin Up,” “50 Shades The Musical,” “Dancing Queen,” “Electric Candy,” “World’s Greatest Rock Show,” “Showstoppers,” “Zombie Burlesque” and “Alice; A Steampunk Concert Fantasy” among others.

When asked about the current health situation and how it has effected Las Vegas and its entertainers, Anne said:

“This is an extremely difficult time in which it is hard to set goals with no end game in sight. I have watched people struggle and this has inspired me to work, be creative, and expand my mind.

“This is truly bittersweet for me as I have had time to spend with my husband and our fur babies. But for my entertainment friends, it has been tough. I feel as artists and human beings, we must be supportive and help one another.”

Once the showroom lights are fully turned back on in Vegas, Anne can be seen every week at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in both, “Fantasy” and “The Terry Bradshaw Show.” Between these shows, she also tours internationally with her solo show “The Queen of Hearts.”

In what started as a one-time gig months ago, has now turned into a regular appearance due to popular demand, Anne can be seen every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at St. Mark’s Square inside The Venetian Las Vegas. She is joined by Peter Fand, John Wedemeyer and Michael J. Moreno. Together, they make up the very popular “Red Penny Arcade.”
