One of my favorite parts of the day are the Happy Hours we have around town. Who doesn’t like a great Happy Hour to help unwind from a busy day? Most people when they think Happy Hour kick back with a few cocktails.
I have no problem with that but I’m all about sharing some of my favorite spots around town to get great food specials during Happy Hour.
For Pizza – Pizza Rock: Pizza Rock has two Happy Hours daily: from 3-6 p.m. and then from 10 p.m. to close. It is located downtown at 201 North Third Street and also inside Green Valley Ranch Casino.
During Happy Hour you can get a personal one topping pizza for $7. And, you can’t go to Pizza Rock without having some meatballs. They have some of the best you will find anywhere in Las Vegas and during Happy Hour meatballs are just three for $5.
The final item that I love on the Happy Hour menu is the Soppressata Sliders. You will get Soppressata salami, Provolone, mixed greens with balsamic vinaigrette on a baked sea salt bun. These are amazing sliders and for $5 you can’t go wrong.
Pizza Rock is world class pizza to start with but at Happy Hour it’s such a bargain. I give the Pizza Rock Happy Hour 4 Forks.
For Steak – Herbs & Rye: When you think of Happy Hour you usually don’t think about steakhouses, but Herbs & Rye has great steaks, all hand cut on the premises. They are of high quality, tender and extremely flavorful. I know I already have you interested but did I mention during Happy Hour these steaks are 50% off? Yes, I said 50%! Monday through Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m., and then from Midnight to 3 a.m., all steaks on the menu are 50% off.
In case you forgot, my dad owned a meat packing plant, so I know what I’m talking about when it comes to meat and these steaks are of the highest quality. Herbs & Rye is located at 3713 W. Sahara Ave. I give the Herbs & Rye Happy Hour 4 Forks.
For Burgers – Hawthorn Grill: Who doesn’t like a good burger? Now put that burger inside a steakhouse and make that burger half-price. Well, if you head over to Hawthorn Grill located inside the Rampart Hotel and Casino between 4 and 6 p.m. you can get their Hawthorn Burger, regularly priced at $15, for just $7.50. This burger is huge and comes with Aged Cheddar, butter pickle, lettuce, tomato and their secret sauce on a brioche bun.
You also get an order of French fries with the burger during Happy Hour. This is a great burger that can be ordered in the bar or outside on the patio. I give the Hawthorn Grill Happy Hour 3.75 Forks.
