2023-24 NBA Championship Odds: Nuggets Favored To Repeat Per Post-Draft Prices

The NBA offseason is well underway, as the draft has wrapped up, the summer league is over, and big trades have started to go down. With each offseason move, depending on the magnitude, oddsmakers adjust NBA championship odds for the 2023-24 season, giving bettors a chance to place some action before opening night.

Big moves have shifted the odds, including the Boston Celtics trading for Kristaps Porzingis and saying goodbye to Marcus Smart. Prior to that trade, Boston was +550 to win the NBA Finals at BetMGM. As of July 24, 2023, the Celtics (+500) are slightly behind the Denver Nuggets (+475) in odds to win the NBA Finals

Odds to Win 2023-24 NBA Championship

While Denver is the favorite to win the NBA Finals, the Celtics are not too far behind, with FanDuel listing them as a slight +470 favorite. The Suns also got a bump in NBA futures odds after acquiring Bradley Beal, as BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook have odds set at 6/1.

The Miami Heat have also seen a jump in NBA Finals odds with rumors of an impending Damian Lillard trade. You can get the Heat’s odds to win the Finals as low as 9/1 at DraftKings.

Last year, the Miami Heat opened at +800 to win the East and were 60/1 at the start of the playoffs. This does not mean you should go crazy betting on the long shots to win the conference, but it shows that sometimes taking a deeper look at the value is well worth it. 

With the Celtics among the favorites to win the NBA Finals, they have the shortest odds to win the East, with Milwaukee right behind them.
