Player Props for NBA Friday

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 34.5 Points + Assists (-111, BetRivers)

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the leader of a team that’s crushing expectations, and it starts with the point guard’s dynamic scoring. The NBA All-Star Starter snub has the second-most 30-point games this season (28) and has hit the 30-point mark in 63.6% of his outings.

His calling card is, of course, scoring, but he’s also been able to find his teammates for easy looks. SGA has dished out five-plus dimes in 31 of his 44 games (70.5%). He also recorded five-plus assists in six of his last seven games.

H2H Rebounds: Fred VanVleet ‘More Rebounds’ vs. Klay Thompson (-115, DraftKings)

Don’t let the height difference fool you. 6’1” Fred VanVleet is averaging more rebounds per game (4.3) than 6’6” Klay Thompson (3.8).

VanVleet has been cleaning the glass exceptionally for a man of his stature as of late. The Raptors guard is hauling in 5.5 rebounds over his last 11 appearances on average, including six games with at least six boards.

Thompson, on the other hand, is averaging just three rebounds over his last seven appearances, grabbing no more than five in a game over that stretch.

Ja Morant Under 8.5 Assists (+110, DraftKings and BetMGM)

Ja Morant is averaging a career-high eight assists per contest this season, but his assist numbers have trailed off in the new year. He has fallen short of his Friday night assists line in eight of his 10 games this month, as well as in 25 of his 40 games this season.

There’s also the fact that center Steven Adams will miss the next few weeks with a sprained PCL. Passers, like Morant, normally look for their centers down low for easy buckets but with Adams out, the assists won’t come easy.

The plus-money odds should be another added incentive for taking the Under.

Pascal Siakam Over 0.5 Blocks (-104, Caesars)

Pascal Siakam isn’t known for his shot blocking, though he has strung together a nice streak of games with a block.

The Raptors forward has swatted at least one shot in 13 of his last 17 games, including at least one in eight straight outings. If you’re feeling bullish about his blocking prowess against an undersized Warriors team tonight, then you may want to turn to his prop of two-plus blocks for even sweeter odds.
