In the first game of the 2023-24 NBA season, the defending champion Denver Nuggets receive their rings before hosting the Los Angeles Lakers in a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals. In the second game, the Phoenix Suns visit the Golden State Warriors in a matchup of two of the best teams in the league.

As the NBA’s rebounding leader, the 30-year-old All-Star player averaged 12.5 rebounds (9.1 defensive and 3.5 offensive) in 56 regular season games and 14.1 (11.7 and 2.4) in 16 playoff games last season.
In four Western Conference Finals games against the Nuggets, Davis averaged 14 rebounds. While the Nuggets have one of the bigger frontcourts in the league with Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, and Michael Porter Jr., they did not address Davis’ rebounding prowess in the offseason, so he should dominate the glass.
