Wednesday’s two-game NBA Playoffs slate features two series that tell two different stories. Here we look at player props and same-game parlays on the evening’s betting card.

The Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics are neck and neck in the East semis, tied two games apiece heading into a Game 5 matchup in Boston. Every time the Bucks win a game, the Celtics come right back to win the next one, and the series seems on course for a Game 7.

In the West, the Golden State Warriors have taken full advantage of a shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies team that’s missing star Ja Morant. With news Morant is doubtful to return during the playoffs, the series feels like a foregone conclusion, with the Grizzlies already down 3-1. The updated series price at DraftKings has the Warriors favored at prohibitive -5000 odds.

Sports betting apps like DraftKings and FanDuel are loaded with player props that merge betting and player stats into one thrilling experience. If you’re feeling confident about your selected props, then you can combine them into a same-game parlay with a huge potential payday.

Make sure you research multiple sportsbooks to ensure you find the best odds for your wagers to get the biggest bang for your buck.

Bucks vs. Celtics Game 5 (Series Tied 2-2)

35-year-old Al Horford turned back the clock in Game 4, scoring 30 points, including 5-of-7 shooting from downtown, en route to a pivotal series-tying win over the Bucks. His career night was sparked by an exchange of poster dunks between himself and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Horford wound up getting the last laugh, scoring 16 points (6-for-6 from the field) in the fourth quarter, including a mean slam on the two-time MVP.

The series returns to TD Garden for Game 5, where the Celtics are 5.5-point favorites against the Bucks.

Bucks vs. Celtics Game 5 Player Props

H2H Points: Jaylen Brown More Points vs. Jayson Tatum (+150, DraftKings)

The rationale behind backing Brown to outscore his partner in crime is the plus-money odds on a bet that has been a coin flip so far in the series. Tatum (22.5) and Brown (21.8) have virtually the same points per game average, but the latter is shooting more efficiently from all areas of the floor (field goal, three-point field goal, and free throw). Brown has also outscored Tatum in two of the series’ four contests.

Tatum’s scoring outputs have been a bit trendy against Milwaukee. His games have gone from good to bad to good to bad through four games. Based on that trend, we expect a down game from Tatum in Game 5.

Brook Lopez ‘Under’ 0.5 Threes (-108, FanDuel)

This is the third straight game we’re begging you to take advantage of Brook Lopez’s three-point disappearing act. He went 0-for-1 on perimeter shots in Game 4, making it six consecutive games in which he’s failed to hit a three, shooting 0-for-5 during that span.

Until Lopez can hit a three-pointer, ‘under’ is the recommended wager.

Warriors vs. Grizzlies Game 5 (GSW Leads 3-1)

After learning just two hours before tipoff they’d be without head coach Steve Kerr due to COVID, Steph Curry and the Warriors overcame the coaching setback, as well as a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter, to beat the Grizzlies and take a commanding 3-1 series lead. Curry was the only Warrior to score more than 17 points.

Jared Jackson Jr. tried stepping up in Morant’s absence by leading his team with 21 points, but he shot 7-for-21 from the field, including 0-7 from deep.

Memphis comes into Game 5 as a 4- to 4.5-point underdog.

Andrew Wiggins ‘Over’ 15.5 Points (-110, DraftKings)

Andrew Wiggins’ shooting efficiency has been all over the place, from as poor as 37.5% from the floor in Game 2 to as hot as 70.0% in Game 3.

Yet, he has scored at least 16 points in all four contests in the series. The inconsistent efficiency hasn’t really mattered to Wiggins. It has been his volume of shots (fewest being 10) and makes (fewest being six) that have helped create a decent scoring floor.

NBA Same-Game Parlay For Wednesday

Wiggins ‘Over’ 13.5 Points; Wiggins 1+ Steals; Wiggins 1+ Blocks; Grizzlies ‘Under’ 110.5 Total Points (+425, DraftKings)

The slightly reduced points total in this SGP for Wiggins gives bettors a cushion compared to the recommended play above.

Wiggins has recorded one-plus steals in three-straight games, and in seven of nine games in these playoffs. As for blocks, he has swatted a shot in three-straight games, and in six of nine in the postseason.

Memphis managed a mere 98 points without Morant in Game 4. Another game without their elite offensive threat should mean another low-scoring outing for the Grizzlies.
