The NBA player props market is heating up, and fortunately for bettors, they’ll have plenty of opportunities to back their favorite hoopers during Tuesday’s five-game slate.
We dug for the best player prop bets to take so you didn’t have to. Our research says that Jalen Brunson will light it up from the field against the Los Angeles Lakers, and that Bam Adebayo will fall short of his scoring prop versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Lakers vs. Knicks Betting Lines: Point Spread, Moneyline, Total
One of the marquee matchups of the evening features the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks on TNT. These two storied franchises face off at the unparalleled Madison Square Garden, so expect this contest to be a popular spot to bet on player props. Here are betting lines for this primetime fixture from top sports betting apps.
Player Props for NBA Tuesday
Jalen Brunson Over 23.5 Points (-113, BetRivers)
Jalen Brunson’s first campaign with New York is going really well, and he’s getting better by the dribble. The Knicks point guard is averaging 28.1 points over his last 14 games since coming back from a minor hip injury in late December. He hit 24-plus points in 11 of those games.

Next up is a date with the Lakers, which allow the second-most points to point guards, as well as the fourth-most points per game (118.2). Tonight is going to be a high-scoring affair, and given the favorable matchup, Brunson should have no issue putting the ball in the hoop.

Bam Adebayo Under 20.5 Points (-105, DraftKings)
We’re not really using Bam Adebayo’s production to justify his prop bet, even though he’s fallen Under 20.5 points in seven of his last 10 games. Our main focus is the matchup, and it’s a scary one at that.
Cleveland has the second-best defensive efficiency and plays at the second-slowest pace in the NBA. It’s going to be hard for Adebayo to score if there aren’t many shots to go around.
The Cavs also do an excellent job taking centers out of the game. Cleveland gives up the second-fewest points to players at the position.
LeBron James 35+ Points (+260, FanDuel)
LeBron James missed last game against the Brooklyn Nets due a sore ankle, and while people may be concerned about his health going into Tuesday, we believe this is all a part of his shrewd plan to break the scoring record at home against either the Oklahoma City Thunder or Milwaukee Bucks on February 7 or February 9, respectively.
By a ton of points, we mean 35, but that’s become mainstream basketball for James. He’s averaging 35.2 points over his 13 games since turning 38 on December 30 (wow), hitting the 35-point mark in eight of them.
He’s 117 points away from becoming the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, and he’s going to want to score a ton of points now so that he’ll break the record with ease later on. The King is always about putting on a show, and what better place to showcase his wizardry than against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
If 35 points is too rich for your blood, then back the Over for his standard prop line of 28.5 points. If you opt for the safer option, though, then you’ll lose out on a massive payout.
