Damian Lillard MORE Than 26.5 Points
It is shocking to see Damian Lillard’s points total this low. Sure, he is having one of the worst shooting seasons of his career, but he is adjusting to life as the No. 2 option on the Bucks and still putting up impressive numbers.
Lillard is scoring 25.6 points per game and has been playing really well lately. Over his last seven games, Lillard has averaged 28.9 points per game on 45% shooting from the field and 39.1% from deep. He has gone over this number six times during this stretch and is taking and making more threes, which should continue tonight.
Although the Heat’s defense ranks in the top 10 in scoring and shooting efficiency, they rank 24th in three-pointers allowed and 26th in 3P%. Lillard has always been a three-point specialist, and while he is not taking as many this season, he still ranks seventh in three-point attempts per game.
Miami’s defense has played much better as of late, allowing only 102 points per game over their last five, but they still allow teams to shoot a high volume from deep. Even if Milwaukee has trouble scoring in this game, plenty of three-point shots should still be available, and Lillard will take the bulk of them.
The Heat are also very banged up for this matchup. They will be without Tyler Herro again, and Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Duncan Robinson are day-to-day, with Butler listed as questionable tonight.
Darius Garland MORE Than 19.5 Points
It has been a tough season for Darius Garland and the Cleveland Cavaliers. They just can’t seem to find any consistency on a night-to-night basis, and players like Garland and Donovan Mitchell are not producing at their usual rates.
Garland’s scoring is down to 19.4 points per game, but he is shooting 48.5% from the field, and his three-point percentage is still a respectable 34.6%. He has only played 12 games and is finally starting to piece it all back together. In his last game, Garland put up 24 points and had eight assists on 63% shooting from the field.
Luckily, the Cavs are playing a terrible Hawks defense tonight, which will be an excellent matchup for Garland. This will be a battle of two of the more talented backcourts in the NBA, with Mitchell and Garland going up against Trae Young and Dejounte Murray.
However, Murray and Young combine for one of the worst defensive guard combos in the league, and Garland should have the easier of the two in Young as Murray will be on the more offensively skilled Mitchell.
In 10 career games against Young, Garland has averaged 20.3 points on 46.4% shooting from the field. This would obviously be enough to cash this pick, but that number is weighed down by some bad performances early in Garland’s career.
Over his last three matchups with Young, Garland has been putting up 28.6 points per game and shooting 39% from three during that stretch. It also helps that Garland is shooting a much higher percentage at home this season, and the Hawks are giving up just under 120 points per game on the road this season.
NBA PrizePicks Odds
Before submitting your NBA PrizePicks for tonight, you have two options:
- Power Play: Get a 5x payout on your initial wager if all three picks hit.
- Flex Play: Gives you protection on your PrizePicks.
The power play option turns your NBA PrizePicks into a simple prop parlay. Our two NBA PrizePicks give us a 3x payout if both bets win. For example, a $100 wager would return $300 in winnings if both our PrizePicks are winners.
For Flex Play, it gives you insurance on your PrizePicks but reduces your payout. If you choose Flex play, and all your picks win, you will get a 2x payout, but if only one pick hits, you will get a 0.5x payout.
However, if you add more picks, your payout will increase. For example, a four-pick slip gives you a 10x payout with the power play option, while flex play gives you a 1.5x payout for three out of four picks and a 5x payout for all four picks hitting.
