Oral Roberts (30-4, 13-15-2 ATS)

Oral Roberts is no stranger to recent success in the NCAA Tournament.

In 2021, Oral Roberts advanced to the Sweet 16 and nearly became the first No. 15 seed to reach the Elite Eight. The Golden Eagles lost a 72-70 heartbreaker against No. 3 Arkansas.

Max Abmas stole the national spotlight during that magical run with 20+ point outings in wins over Ohio State and Florida. Now a senior guard, Abmas leads Oral Roberts in scoring with 22.2 points per game. He’s lethal from beyond the arc with 117 three-pointers made this season.

Oral Roberts is the third-highest scoring team in the country at 84.2 points per game. The Golden Eagles only trail Gonzaga (87.5) and Toledo (85.7) in that category per NCAA stats.

KenPom ranks Oral Roberts 23rd in adjusted offensive efficiency and Duke 47th. That scoring metric is based on points scored per 100 possessions and adjusted for opponent.

Duke Blue Devils (26-8, 15-19 ATS)

Rookie head coach Jon Scheyer and his assistants have the Blue Devils peaking at the perfect time of year. Similar to North Carolina a season ago, Duke looked underwhelming for much of the regular season before catching fire in mid-February.

That’s when the current nine-game winning streak began with a 68-64 home victory over Notre Dame on Feb. 14. Duke’s offense has finally caught up to a defense that allowed opponents only 63.9 points per game during the regular season. Only Virginia allowed fewer points in the ACC.

The Blue Devils stifled the Cavaliers in the ACC Tournament championship game on Saturday en route to a 59-49 victory. Duke can quibble with the No. 5 seed it received from the NCAA Tournament Committee, which didn’t reward the Blue Devils for their efforts in winning the ACC Tournament. Virginia was awarded a No. 4 seed.

Perhaps that helps stoke Duke’s fire as it enters its first NCAA Tournament under the direction of Scheyer. Offensively, freshman Kyle Filipowski leads the Blue Devils with 15.4 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest. Guard Jeremy Roach, the lone returning starter from last year’s Duke team, is the only other Blue Devil averaging double-digit point production (13.3 ppg).

Filipowski and Dereck Lively II give Duke a powerful inside presence with two 7-foot centers.

Oral Roberts vs. Duke Betting Pick

Oral Roberts is stepping up in class after beating North Dakota State to win the Summit League Tournament. It’s only been an underdog in four games this season, going 1-2-1 in that role. The lone cover ATS came as a 9.5-point dog in a 78-70 loss to St. Mary’s in the season opener.

Oral Roberts was limited to 70 points in the Summit League Tournament semifinal win over St. Thomas (Minnesota). Expect Duke’s defense to be the difference here.

Oral Roberts vs. Duke Prop Bet

We’re zeroing in on one prop bet pick for Oral Roberts vs. Duke at a tremendous price.

Kyle Filipowski Over 16.5 Points (-110, DraftKings)

This is a fantastic number being offered on Filipowski, who has become the focal point of Duke’s offense in the postseason. If you include the regular season finale against North Carolina, Filipowski has surpassed 16.5 points in four consecutive games. He was Duke’s leading scorer in three of those four contests.

Filipowski’s Last Four:

Duke 59, Virginia 49 (20 points)

Duke 85, Miami 78 (17 points)

Duke 96, Pitt 69 (22 points)

Duke 62, North Carolina 57 (22 points)

Love this prop at -110 and would play it up to -125.
