The wait is over. Online sports betting has launched in Massachusetts, making it an excellent time for NFL fans to put some money down on the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl 58.

The Patriots are not the perennial contenders they once were, but there are other ways fans can bet on their beloved team. Even at this point of the offseason, sportsbooks have multiple NFL betting options, and as the 2023 NFL season gets closer, additional markets will open up.

For now, let’s review the latest New England Patriots Super Bowl 58 odds available at Massachusetts’s top sports betting apps and some tips on how to bet on them in the Commonwealth.

New England Patriots are Longshots in Super Bowl 58 Odds

Here are the Patriots’ odds at DraftKings, BetMGM, and Caesars to win the Super Bowl, AFC, and AFC East next season.

To Win AFC+3000+4000+3000
To Win AFC East+650+650+800

The Patriots opened at +5000 to win Super Bowl 58, but it wasn’t long before their odds changed. DraftKings and Caesars now have them listed at +6000, and BetMGM has them at +6600. Those odds are not very encouraging, but the Buccaneers opened at +6000 before winning Super Bowl 55.

Prior to the 2017 season, the Eagles also opened at +6000 and went on to win Super Bowl 52.

So, while it may look improbable, it is possible. After all, the season Tom Brady led the Patriots to his first Super Bowl win (2001), the Patriots opened at +6000. Brady won the Super Bowl in his third season as the starter, so maybe Mac Jones can do the same?

How To Bet on Patriots Now That Sports Betting is Live in Massachusetts

Massachusetts bettors interested in getting behind the home team to win Super Bowl 58, the AFC, or AFC East can place their bets at one of our favorite sportsbooks. For those interested in taking a flyer on a longshot, BetMGM Massachusetts has the Patriots listed at +6600 to win Super Bowl 58.

That means a $100 wager would result in a $6,700 payday, your stake plus $6,600 in winnings.

DraftKings Massachusetts and Caesars Massachusetts each offer the Patriots at +6000.

However, the odds of winning Super Bowl 58 have shifted several times for the Patriots, and they will likely move again once free agency gets underway. So, before putting money down, it would be a good idea to do a little line shopping first.

Who are the Favorites To Win the Super Bowl

It’s many of the usual suspects at the top of NFL futures odds. Here are the top five favorites to lift the Lombardi Trophy at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas next February.

Patriots NFL Odds: Additional Betting Options

If you’re interested in a less risky bet on the Patriots, here are a few options:

Patriots Odds to Win AFC

Before they can win Super Bowl 58, the Patriots need to win the AFC title. But that will be challenging with the caliber of teams in the conference (i.e., the Chiefs, Bills, Bengals, etc.). If they do happen to pull it off, fans who get on the bandwagon will be in for a nice payday.

BetMGM Massachusetts has them listed at +4000 to win the conference, while DraftKings MA and Caesars MA have the Pats at +3000 to win the AFC. To put those numbers into perspective, they have a 2.44% implied probability according to the BetMGM odds and a 3.23% chance according to DraftKings and Caesars.

Taking them now, when their odds are nice and long, is ideal. However, the odds are long for a reason, and bettors may want to think twice before putting money down.

Patriots Odds to Win AFC East

From 2001 to 2019, the Patriots won the AFC East division title 17 times — the two outliers being the 2002 and 2008 seasons (Brady’s second as the starter, and when he was out with an injury). But since Brady left town, it’s been a different story.

In fact, they are the longest shot on the division betting board, perhaps an opportunity Bill Belichick believers may want to take a shot on.

Buffalo Bills+100+100+100
New York Jets+275+250+240
Miami Dolphins+425+450+450
New England Patriots+650+650+800

Buffalo has dominated the division ever since Brady left town. Both the Dolphins and Jets showed significant promise last season and should be competitive in 2023 as well. Should the Jets acquire Aaron Rodgers, their odds with shorten. That, of course, means it will be even harder for the Patriots to win the division.

If you roll the dice and the Patriots go on to win the AFC East, you could take home a nice payday. You’ll have to decide if it’s a risk worth taking.

How to Open a Massachusetts Sportsbook Account

It would have been nice if sports betting had been legal back when the Patriots won the division and were in contention for the AFC and Super Bowl almost every year. But, hey — at least fans can bet on them now!

To do so, they will need to open an account with one of the sportsbooks now live in-state.

Several sportsbooks are live, but our favorites are DraftKings, BetMGM, and Caesars. Before signing up with any betting apps, check out our Massachusetts sportsbook page for an overview of the available sportsbooks.

For more detailed information about a particular book, follow the links to our Massachusetts page for that app. When you are ready to sign up, follow the instructions and register for an account. The process does not vary too much from one sportsbook to the next.

After registering an account, make your first deposit using an approved banking method. Most allow PayPal, credit or debit card transfers, and transfers from your bank account.

If you want to take advantage of the best odds offered for the Patriots, we advise opening more than one account. Doing so will also allow you to take advantage of multiple welcome bonuses offered to Massachusetts residents. Be sure to use our exclusive promo codes and sign-up links to claim the best welcome offers available in the state!
