Sports Betting Spread: New England Patriots +4 vs. Buffalo Bills -4

The Bills (11-6 SU, 9-6-2 ATS) are winners of four straight heading into the wildcard round with a 3-0-1 mark against the spread in those contests. Josh Allen and Co. averaged a cool 30 points per game in their final four. That includes the 33 points they hung on the Patriots (10-7 SU, 10-7 ATS) in Week 16.

New England made the playoffs on the strength of a seven-game win — and cover — streak from Weeks 7-13. Their Week 14 bye may have come at the worst time as they’ve stumbled to a 1-3 mark — straight-up and against the spread — since their break.

This weekend’s meeting will represent the rubber match between these two division foes. Bills head coach Sean McDermott expressed frustration after their humiliating Week 14 defeat to Bill Belichick and Co. It wasn’t the 14-10 final score that had the Bills salty, but the fact that the Patriots were able to win in spite of only completing two passes on three attempts.

Not only is this the rubber match between the Bills and Patriots, but it’s a rubber match of sorts for Belichick. He’s 1-1 against the AFC East in the postseason, both contests coming against the New York Jets.
