Newcastle United FC Roster, Injuries, and Betting News
Newcastle United is looking strong in Eddie Howe’s first full season as the manager after being appointed a few months into the 2021-22 season. With a top-four finish in sight with 10 games to go, Newcastle could return to the UEFA Champions League for its first appearance in 20 years.
Just finishing where they are would give the club its best Premier League finish in 10 years, with the club last finishing fifth after in the 2011–12 season. However you look at it, the good times are back in Newcastle, but there is an ambition to go as high as possible.
The Magpies arrive with a 12-11-3 (W-D-L) record and are searching for a third-straight victory. After losing league matches to Liverpool and Manchester City, with the League Cup loss to Man Utd in between, Newcastle entered the international break with wins over Wolves and Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United FC Roster, Injuries, and Betting News
Manager Erik ten Hag was brought in to restore glory and championship football to Manchester United during the offseason and, with a highly dramatic saga leading to the exit of club legend Cristiano Ronaldo, he’s done a remarkable job with results in his first season.
The Red Devils are third in the table with a 15-5-6 record. While the club is not where it wants to be in the title race, with a 19-point gap from leaders Arsenal, they look like a solid pick to finish top four which would put them back into Champions League football.
There have been growing pains including a 7-0 humbling loss at rivals Liverpool in early March. Since then, the club has picked itself up and won three out of four in all competitions, with an FA Cup victory over Fulham and two wins over La Liga side Real Betis in Europa League.
Roster
Marcus Rashford is United’s top scorer with 14 league goals. He’s due for a Premier League goal after scoring his last against Leeds in February but he’ll feel good against Newcastle after scoring against them in the League Cup Final. Rashford also scored in the two Europa League bouts against Betis most recently.
Bruno Fernandes has five league goals but he did score a brace in FA Cup action against Fulham in United’s most recent game. Jadon Sancho is next in league goals with four to his name this season.
As for who will create the goals, Fernandes has six league assists. Only Christian Eriksen has more, but the Danish midfielder is currently out to injury.
Injuries
Doubtful: Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Raphael Varane
Out: Alejandro Garnacho, Marcel Sabitzer, Tom Heaton, Christian Eriksen, Donny van de Beek

Newcastle vs. Manchester United Prediction
The stakes are high in this one with less than 10 matches to go in the 2022-23 season. Both teams are vying for the most stressless finish possible when it comes to locking up a top-four spot.
Newcastle will have the support of the home fans, but it will also make an emotional rollercoaster. The pressure is certainly on the hosts but will Manchester United be able to take advantage and impose a superiority?
Man U seems to have the edge in roster quality, a bit more so because of the current injury situations. Unless you lean towards one of these teams, consider the value of what you would get betting the draw for this one.
Here are a few bets available at BetRivers that are worth checking out:
- Tie (+250)
- Both teams to score (-137)
- Anytime scorer: Marcus Rashford (+180), Alexander Isak (+195)
