QB Tim Tebow (Denver Broncos)

Denver has a bye this week, but it’s likely with all the pressure from the fans, and more importantly, pressure on HC John Fox to get a spark on offense going that Tebow will become the starter. Between his rushing yardage and passing, Tebow will be a valuable scorer, maybe more so than many QB’s who are starting now. It’s questionable whether his style of play translates into wins, but there’s no denying there’s good fantasy points. Pick him up and see what he can do at Miami next week, where they are honoring the most recent Florida Gators national championship team. Don’t the Hurricanes play on that field?

RB Delone Carter (Indianapolis Colts)

With Joseph Addai injured again, look for some production around the goal line from Carter if the Colts ever get there. They did last week and Carter scored, but he’s sharing time with Donald Brown. Because of Carter’s expected goal line work, he gets the nod.

RB Jackie Battle (Kansas City Chiefs)

Kansas City has a bye, but it looks as though from Battle’s 119 yards rushing last week that he’ll be filling in the role of Jamaal Charles, who finally got things going last week. Battle could be the type of player in a system that helps win your fantasy league.

(Each week, GT columnist Micah Roberts will offer a few players that may not have been considered for play who could do well for the upcoming NFL games.)
