Running Back Lance Ball, Denver Broncos
The short week isn’t going to help starting Running Back Willis McGahee’s hamstring get better and backup Knowshon Moreno’s knee should keep him out quite a few more weeks, so it’s Lance Ball’s show now. Denver has changed their Tebow philosophy a bit as he continues to win and has made the Broncos a run first, second and third option team. After the two backs above him got hurt early in the game, Ball rushed for 98 yards on 30 carries. The 98 yards aren’t too impressive, but the 30 carries are. He should be an immediate grab and start for a team having running back problems like most all of us do.
Wide Reciever Chad Ochocinco, New England Patriots
It took a while, but Ochocinco may be finally fitting in with Tom Brady and the Patriots. As Brady and the Patriots examined way to get more scoring opportunities following two losses, he and Ochocinco had a heart to heart discussion. It wasn’t just words from Brady as he went to Ochocinco twice early on in their win over the Jets, one of which went for 53 yards, which was more yards than he had in any one game this season. Look for more bigger performances to come. He may not be a start just yet, but is worth picking up while still available in most leagues.
Wide Reciever Laurent Robinson, Dallas Cowboys
It’s doubtful that he’s still available in your league to pick up, but double-check just to be sure. If he’s sitting on your bench, he should be put in as soon as possible while Miles Austin is still out. Robinson has scored a touch down in three straight games, including two last week and should put up good numbers against a struggling Washington squad.
