QB Cam Newton
Panthers vs. Jaguars: The Panthers are going to let this rookie air it out, and why not? He’s thrown for over 400 yards in both of his starts. Even more appealing is that the Panthers have vested so much into him that they have virtually abandoned their run game which will keep the stats coming. Who cares if he wins or loses in fantasy? He’s piling up major stats and is like Michael Vick super-sized when adding in his run numbers.
RB Thomas Jones
Chiefs vs. Chargers: KC is a mess and now that Jamaal Charles is out, someone is going to take over the carries. Dexter McCluster will also see a significant increase in time, but Jones will be the guy they go to if they ever get close to the goal line. Since they are playing San Diego who seems to be again playing to the level of its opponent, look for Jones to find the end zone.
WR David Nelson
Bills vs. Patriots: Think of Wes Welker with Nelson because QB loves to dink and dunk with him keeping drives alive. It’s to be expected that the Bills will be playing catch-up this week meaning a lot more opportunities for Nelson to get the ball. He’s become a favorite crutch for Ryan Fitzpatrick and still available in many leagues. With the Bills putting up 79 points the first two weeks, the players that are making it happen should be a premium to get.
