Week 1 of the NFL preseason continues with a six-game slate on Saturday. Like during the regular season, sportsbooks have betting lines for these games. Winning is secondary to evaluating talent in these games, but bettors can still make money betting on NFL preseason picks and parlays if they do their homework.
Here are a few of our NFL preseason picks and parlays for Saturday’s games.

This game marks the 10th time the Bills and Colts have faced off in preseason play. Buffalo won the most recent meeting, last year’s preseason opener (also in Buffalo). In regular and post-season play, the Bills and Colts have played 72 times; Buffalo leads the series, 38-33-1.
During Sean McDermott’s time as head coach, the Bills have played well at this time of year, with wins in nine of their last 10 preseason games (2-1 last year; 12-6 overall under McDermott). But Buffalo may have a hard time winning Saturday with Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs not expected to play.
As for the Colts, new head coach Shane Steichen may be a little more motivated to win as a first-time head coach. The team has announced that rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson will start the game. Steichen has said he expects starters to play roughly a quarter.

Tennessee Titans vs. Chicago Bears: Moneyline, Point Spread, and Total
The game will be broadcast on the NFL Network at 1 p.m. ET Saturday, but fans can stream it through the NFL app, NFL.com, or via the league’s streaming platform, NFL+. Fans in local markets can watch the game on FOX.

Tennessee Titans | at | Chicago Bears |
Soldier Field, Chicago, IL |
Saturday’s game will be the 15th between the Titans and Bears during the preseason; Tennessee leads the all-time series, 8-6. They last met during the 2019 preseason at Soldier Field, with the Titans walking away winners, 19-15. In regular season play, they have faced off 13 times. Tennessee leads that series, 7-6.
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel has a 6-8 preseason record, but he will not act as the team’s head coach Saturday. Assistant coach Terrell Williams will take the reigns as of Thursday night. While assuming is never a good idea, Williams will undoubtedly want to win.
The team has announced that some starters will play but has not named a starting quarterback.
Bears head coach Matt Eberflus went undefeated in preseason play last year (3-0), his first as head coach of the Bears. The stars did see some action in the preseason opener last year. Regarding the starters for Saturday, Eberflus has said select individuals will play, including Justin Fields.
New York Jets vs. Carolina Panthers: Moneyline, Point Spread, and Total
The game will be broadcast on the NFL Network at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, but fans can stream it through the NFL app, NFL.com, or via the league’s streaming platform, NFL+. Fans in local markets can watch the game on CBS.

Carolina has a 5-3 lead in the all-time regular season record versus the Jets, with the Panthers winning four of five at home.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh lost during the preseason for the first time last week in the Hall of Fame game, making his record 5-1. Starters have seen limited action during preseason play during Saleh’s first two seasons as head coach. It is unclear how many will play and for how long this week.
But it would be shocking to see Aaron Rodgers take the field.
As for the Panthers, head coach Frank Reich was 8-6 during the preseason in his four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. Bryce Young will start the game, but we do not know how much action he’ll see. Reich has stated other starters will play but has not specified who.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Dallas Cowboys: Moneyline, Point Spread, and Total
Fans can stream the game at 5 p.m. ET Saturday through the NFL app, NFL.com, or via the league’s streaming platform, NFL+. But in local markets, fans can watch the game on CBS.

Jacksonville Jaguars | at | Dallas Cowboys |
AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX |
Saturday’s game will be the seventh preseason meeting between the Jaguars and the Cowboys. Each team has won three, with Jacksonville winning the last one during the 2021 preseason, 34-14.
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson went 8-8 during the preseason with the Eagles but went 0-4 last year, his first in Jacksonville. Starters played just three series during preseason action last year, but Pederson has already stated that starters will see action Saturday (but not more than a drive or two).
As for the Cowboys, head coach Mike McCarthy went 27-23 during the preseason with the Green Bay Packers. After going 0-4 in his first season with the Cowboys, he went 2-1 last year. Fans should not expect to see starters on the field for long (if at all).
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Baltimore Ravens: Moneyline, Point Spread, and Total
The game will be broadcast on the NFL Network at 7 p.m. ET Saturday, but fans can stream it through the NFL app, NFL.com, or via the league’s streaming platform, NFL+. Fans in local markets can watch the game on NBC.
NFL PRESEASON · Sat (8/12) @ 7:00 pm ET
Philadelphia Eagles | at | Baltimore Ravens |
M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD |
There is not much history between the Eagles and Ravens. The two teams have met during the regular season just six times. Baltimore leads the series, 3-2-1.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has not placed much importance on winning preseason games, with just one win in two years (1-4 overall). He’s been noncommittal when asked if the starters will see playing time Saturday. Jalen Hurts did start the preseason opener last year, but it would be surprising to see him play this weekend.
John Harbaugh and the Ravens will take a 23-game winning streak into Saturday’s contest. But he will not risk Lamar Jackson or other established starters in the game. Harbaugh’s all-time preseason record stands at 43-12, with the last loss coming in 2015.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Los Angeles Rams: Moneyline, Point Spread, and Total
The game will be broadcast on the NFL Network at 9 p.m. ET Saturday, but fans can stream it through the NFL app, NFL.com, or via the league’s streaming platform, NFL+. Depending on the market, fans in local markets can watch the game on ABC, CBS, FOX, or the CW.

Los Angeles Chargers | at | Los Angeles Rams |
SoFI Stadium, Inglewood, CA |
The Rams and Chargers last met during the preseason last year, with the Rams taking home the win, 29-22. During regular season play, they have met 13 times, with the Rams holding a 7-6 lead.
Chargers head coach Brandon Staley has not worried about winning preseason games. The team has gone 1-4 in his first two seasons. He has stated that some starters will see time this weekend but also that many will not, including Justin Herbert and Derwin James.
In five seasons with the Rams, Sean McVay has guided the team to a 7-11 preseason record but has gone 1-5 over the last two years. Historically, McVay has opted not to play starters but has said that some will see playing time Saturday (but not Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, or Aaron Donald).
NFL Preseason Parlay Picks, Week 1: Saturday
Parlays can be a lot of fun – and profitable. But you have to be careful with them. It can be easy to get greedy and add one extra leg to a parlay to make the potential payday bigger. But you are better off keeping them shorter. You may not win as much with a two or three-leg parlay as a six-leg one, but you have a better chance of winning.
We’re featuring FanDuel odds this week, but you should always compare the odds at other top sports betting apps.
Let’s go over a few options:
NFL Preseason Parlay No. 1
- Titans-Bears, Under 37 -110
- Colts-Bills, Under 38.5 -110
- NFL Preseason Parlay odds: +257
The Titans and Bears had two of the lowest-scoring offenses in the NFL last season (17.5 and 17 PPG). While fans should feel optimistic about the 2023 season, since their star players will see little (if any) time in Saturday’s game, there is no reason to feel optimistic about the game. It will be a relatively low-scoring contest.
When the Bills and Colts faced off in Week 1 of the preseason last year, the final score was 27-24. Do not expect a repeat. Buffalo’s stars will not see the field. As for the Colts, Anthony Richardson will play some but expectations should be low because (1) he’s a rookie and (2) he will not play much.
A $100 wager will result in a $357 payday, your stake plus $257 in winnings.
NFL Preseason Parlay No. 2
- Jets-Panthers, Under 37.5 -110
- Jaguars-Cowboys, Under 37.5
- NFL Preseason Parlay odds: +264
With the new quarterbacks on the roster, fans of the Jets and Panthers can expect significant improvement from their team’s offense this season. But that change will likely not pay off until the regular season since the star players for both teams will see little to no action during preseason play.
Neither had great offenses last season, but they did have good defenses. Points will be hard to come by for this game.
As for the Jags and Cowboys, Jacksonville’s starters will see only a little time on Saturday, but not much. Dallas will probably not put too many starters on the field, either. The Cowboys scored 32 and 27 points in their second and third preseason game last year.
So, there is a chance the offense becomes productive, but it is more likely the game is more like last year’s preseason opener (a 17-7 loss to Denver).
A $100 wager will result in a $364 payday, your stake plus $264 in winnings.
NFL Preseason Parlay No. 3
- Ravens to win -210
- Rams-Chargers, Over 33.5 -105
- NFL Preseason parlay odds: +188
Baltimore has not lost a preseason game since 2015. That’s 23 consecutive preseason wins (20-3 ATS). While John Harbaugh will not risk getting any of his stars hurt, we know he will try to win the game. On the other hand, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has not put much importance on winning preseason games.
With the money the Eagles are now paying Jalen Hurts, the team does not want him and the offense operating at anything less than 100% come Week 1. So Philadelphia will not take any unnecessary risks with anyone.
Sean McVay typically never plays his starters but has said that will change this year. But that could equate to just a series or two. Brandon Staley has already said Justin Herbert and Derwin James are not playing. The starters that do play will likely get pulled quickly.
Last year, the Rams beat the Chargers in the preseason opener, 29-22. The score will not be as high this time, but with the total being so low, we like the Over for this game.
A $100 wager will result in a $288 payday, your stake plus $188 in winnings.
NFL Preseason Parlay No. 4
Just for fun, let’s see what a six-leg parlay (one for each game Saturday) would look like:
- Titans-Bears, Under 37 -110
- Colts-Bills, Under 38.5 -110
- Jets-Panthers, Under 37.5 -110
- Jaguars-Cowboys, Under 37.5
- Ravens to win -210
- Rams-Chargers, Over 33.5 -105
- NFL Preseason Parlay odds: +3649
The House already has the advantage with parlays. When you add multiple legs like we did here, that advantage grows exponentially. That is why we recommend two or three-leg parlays. But hey, a $10 wager would result in a $364.90 payday if you have ten bucks burning a hole in your pocket.
