Ah, yes, the final week of the regular season and the one where it’s always wise just to stay away. But where is the fun in that?

Our NFL Week 18 teaser pick aims to put a few shekels in your pocket before those post-holiday credit card bills start rolling in. We did cash our Week 16 Wong Teaser before taking a much-needed break for the holiday, but more on that later.

For the final time this regular season, here’s a two-team teaser for your humble consideration. Let’s finish strong for Stanford Wong.

We are betting two-team, 6-point NFL teasers in this space with either favorites laying -7.5 to -8.5 or underdogs getting between +1.5 and +2.5. Wong Teasers cross through the most critical “3” and “7” numbers on both legs of the bet.

Wong Teasers are one way for a bettor to gain an edge on a bookmaker. Be sure to shop around at different sportsbooks that offer -120 odds on a two-team, 6-point teaser. In our examples, we’ll be betting $120 to win $100.

Vikings -1.5 AND Chargers +8.5 Week 18 Teaser Pick

Vikings -1.5 over Bears

Justin Fields will not play in this game. Rampart Casino race and sports manager Duane Colucci said sharps knew this early, and the betting line at his shop moved accordingly during the week.

Minnesota fell to the No. 3 seed after getting clocked by Green Bay, 41-17. The Vikings can move back up to the No. 2 spot with a victory over the Bears. Oh, and a loss by the 49ers to the Cardinals.

That’s probably not going to happen, but Minnesota should take care of business in the early game before 49ers-Cardinals kicks off in San Francisco later in the day.

Nathan Peterman will start at QB for the Bears. The name sounds vaguely familiar, but for some reason J. Peterman from Seinfeld comes to mind every time I hear it.

There won’t be anything funny about this game from a Chicago perspective. The Bears are riding a franchise-high, nine-game losing streak. There’s nothing to play for but pride, as the old saying goes, and Da Bears have played more like Cubs of late.

Give us Minnesota to win by at least a safety.

Chargers +8.5 over Broncos

Let’s face it: This could be a trap game, as the Chargers may rest some of their top players with the AFC’s No. 5 or No. 6 playoff seed awaiting them.

Los Angeles head coach Brandon Staley insists his team will be playing to win the game, which would secure the fifth playoff seed it now occupies. Coach-speak comes in handy sometimes, but a loss by the Ravens to the Bengals in the early window would also do the trick before this contest kicks off.

Even if Baltimore does lose and get them in, we’d take a Chase Daniel-led Chargers team +8.5 here. Denver is dead last in the NFL with an average of 16.0 points per game. Perhaps the ever-polarizing Russell Wilson saved his breakout game as a Bronco until Week 18.

Perhaps, not, too.

Week 16 Wong Teaser Result: Win

Saints (+8.5) over Browns AND Raiders (+8.5) over Steelers

This made us a little bit merrier on Christmas Eve, as the Saints went into Cleveland and beat the Browns outright, 17-10. Las Vegas rolled into Pittsburgh that night and fought valiantly (we kid a bit) to lose by just a field goal, 13-10.

2022 Wong Teaser Record: 6-10

Season Bottom Line: -$600

Futures: Super Bowl 57 odds | NFL MVP odds
