It’s time to throw caution to the wind with our NFL Week 10 teaser pick. There are a pair of underdogs on the betting board that caught our eye for different reasons.
The Panthers (+2.5) host the Falcons on Thursday Night Football. Carolina’s a hot mess, and the Panthers looked absolutely abysmal last week in Cincinnati. We’re betting on a big bounce here in another offensively challenged episode of TNF.
The Seahawks (+2.5) travel to Munich to take on the Bucs in the NFL’s first-ever game in Germany. The wrong team is favored in this game. Easy choice.
Let’s get to it.
We are betting two-team, 6-point NFL teasers in this space with either favorites laying -7.5 to -8.5 or underdogs getting between +1.5 and +2.5. Wong Teasers cross through the most critical “3” and “7” numbers on both legs of the bet.
Wong Teasers are one way for a bettor to gain an edge on a bookmaker. Be sure to shop around at different sportsbooks that offer -120 odds on a two-team, 6-point teaser. In our examples, we’ll be betting $120 to win $100.

Seahawks +2.5
Broncos +2
Cardinals +1.5
Steelers +1.5
Resulting Wong Teaser Spreads:
Panthers +8.5

Panthers +8.5 AND Seahawks +8.5 Week 10 Teaser
Panthers (+8.5) over Falcons
For some reason, the Panthers have opted to start PJ Walker at quarterback on Thursday. They must have looked at the game film from last week’s 42-21 loss to Cincinnati and found some hidden promise in Walker’s first-half stats. He had three completions for nine yards and two picks. Huh?
In relief duty, Baker Mayfield completed nearly 75% of his passes in the second half for 155 yards and two TDs. The decision to trot Walker out again against Atlanta is baffling, but he did throw for 300+ yards and a TD in the wild 37-34 loss at Atlanta in Week 8. It was a game Carolina should have won before D.J. Moore lost his mind (and helmet) and kicker Eddie Piniero choked.

Here’s the rationale for taking the Panthers +8.5: Expect a heavy dose of RB D’Onta Foreman in a game that’s expected to be impacted by both rain and wind. Foreman ran roughshod over the Falcons with 118 yards and three TDs in the first meeting. Carolina’s defense is banged up with stud DE Brian Burns among those questionable to play, but we just don’t expect to see many explosive plays from either team.
This will be a slog. Give us Carolina +8.5.

Seahawks +8.5 over Bucs
It’s clear that many bettors haven’t bought into the Seahawks yet. We used Seattle +8 over Arizona last week, and the Seahawks won outright. Now we’re getting +8.5 points on the adjusted teaser spread against a Tampa Bay team that has no running game? That feels like stealing.
The perception of “It’s Tom Brady and the Bucs” has met the reality of this is a one-dimensional team that has real difficulty scoring points. Tampa Bay averages a measly 18 points per game. Brady was forced to chuck the ball 58 times last week in the come-from-behind win against the Rams. That’s a recipe for long-term losing in the NFL, but the Buccaneers don’t have any alternative. They are dead last in the league in rushing at 60.7 yards per game.
Seattle now features a balanced offensive attack thanks to the exploits of RB Kenneth Walker III. Walker is now the favorite to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year (-130 at DraftKings). In his last five games, Walker has amassed seven rushing TDs. Tampa Bay has three all season.
Give us Walker, Geno Smith, Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, and the Seahawks +8.5 all day over Tampa Bay.

Week 9 Wong Teaser Result: Loss
Seahawks (+8) over Cardinals AND Saints (+8.5) over Ravens
It was another disappointing split after Seattle gave us an outright win on Sunday. New Orleans failed to deliver a late TD and backdoor cover in a 27-13 loss to Baltimore on Monday.
