There is one home dog that’s clearly the most attractive play in our NFL Week 12 teaser pick, but pegging the second team to pair is a bit more challenging.
FanDuel’s line on Bengals-Titans has homestanding Tennessee +1.5 as of this writing. That line is kooky, but sportsbooks have their own unique way of enticing bettors. OK, we’ll bite, and take the Titans at +7.5 on the adjusted teaser spread.
Read on to see who qualifies as our second pick in this week’s Wong Teaser.
We are betting two-team, 6-point NFL teasers in this space with either favorites laying -7.5 to -8.5 or underdogs getting between +1.5 and +2.5. Wong Teasers cross through the most critical “3” and “7” numbers on both legs of the bet.
Wong Teasers are one way for a bettor to gain an edge on a bookmaker. Be sure to shop around at different sportsbooks that offer -120 odds on a two-team, 6-point teaser. In our examples, we’ll be betting $120 to win $100.

Titans (+7.5) AND Panthers (+8.5) Week 12 Teaser Pick
Titans (+7.5) over Bengals
This happens on occcasion when a line jumps off the page, and it just doesn’t make any sense. Tennessee (7-3) holds a commanding three-game lead over the Colts in the AFC South. The Titans also lead the NFL with an 8-2 ATS record. After losing and failing to cover their first two games of the season, Tennessee has been on an absolute tear with the only blemish being a hard-fought 20-17 loss at Kansas City.

Cincinnati (6-4) also started the season with two losses, but it has been playing well of late. The Bengals have won and covered in four of their last five tilts. A closer look at the recent history between these two teams reveals that Cincy is 5-0 ATS in their last five games against the Titans. The most recent and relevant game took place back in January. Cincy traveled to Nashville and handed the Titans a 19-16 loss in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Worth noting here that WR Ja’Marr Chase (hip) has a chance to play for the Bengals, but we like Tennessee to prevail with a run-heavy game script featuring big doses of Derrick Henry.
The Wong Teaser was created for games like this one. Flipping the point spread in our favor is a nice insurance policy. Give us the underdog Titans — who’ve covered their last five games of the season — at +8.5 and let the chips fall where they may.

Panthers (+8.5) over Broncos
This was a more difficult selection, but Carolina’s defense stepped it up last week in a 13-3 loss at Baltimore. The hunch here is that unit will shine again against a Denver team that has difficulty scoring points. The Broncos average a league-low 14.7 points per game.
Carolina’s defense features standout players at every level in DE Brian Burns (eight sacks), LB Shaq Thompson (83 tackles), and safety Jeremy Chinn (just returned from injury). Expect Carolina to win the turnover battle and perhaps produce short fields for its struggling offense. Sam Darnold has been named Carolina’s starting QB, but it likely doesn’t matter who is under center at this point given what’s available on the roster.
This is the lowest total (35.5 at FanDuel) on the Week 12 betting board for a reason. Don’t expect much offense from either side, but Carolina should do just enough to comfortably cover the +8.5 number.
Week 11 Wong Teaser Result: Loss
Vikings (+7.5) over Cowboys AND 49ers (-2.5) over Cardinals
This one never had a chance to get to Monday night when the 49ers did their job and steamrolled the Cardinals, 38-10, in Mexico City. We were already dead in the water after the Vikings decided not to show up in an ugly 40-3 home loss to the Cowboys.
2022 Wong Teaser Record: 3-8
Season Bottom Line: -$660
