There’s no shortage of teams to consider for our NFL Week 4 teaser pick. Five teams meet the criteria set forth by Stanford Wong (pen name for gambling guru John Ferguson) and deliver the most advantageous odds for bettors looking to gain an edge on the book.
We’re rolling with a pair of home dogs this week: Atlanta Falcons (+7.5) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+7.5).

We are betting two-team, 6-point NFL teasers in this space with either favorites laying -7.5 to -8.5 or underdogs getting between +1.5 and +2.5. Wong Teasers cross through the most critical “3” and “7” numbers on both legs of the bet.
Wong Teasers are one way for a bettor to gain an edge on a bookmaker. Be sure to shop around at different sportsbooks that offer -120 odds on a two-team, 6-point teaser. In our examples, we’ll be betting $120 to win $100 on a Wong Teaser.

Falcons (+7.5) + Buccaneers (+7.5) are Week 4’s Top Teaser Tandem
Atlanta Falcons (+7.5) over Cleveland Browns
Atlanta has been one of the more pleasant surprises in the NFL this season. The Falcons are 1-2 overall but 3-0 ATS. Atlanta competed well in narrow losses to the Saints (27-26) and Rams (31-27) before beating the Seahawks in Week 3.

Rookie WR Drake London leads the Falcons with 214 receiving yards and two TDs. TE Kyle Pitts is the more heralded player, but he’s yet to break out this year. QB Marcus Mariota, who has completed more than 63% of his passes on the season, can also get it done on the ground. He’ll keep Cleveland’s defense honest here.
Cleveland DE Myles Garrett did not practice Wednesday after being injured in a car accident on Monday. Garrett’s status remains uncertain, but he hasn’t been ruled out against the Falcons.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+7.5) over Kansas City Chiefs
Yes, Tampa Bay and Tom Brady looked pretty dismal against the Packers on Sunday. Given the number of injuries on the offensive side of the ball, that was to be expected. Still, the Bucs lost to Green Bay, 14-12, and not 44-12.
The fact remains that Tampa Bay’s defense is a top-five unit giving up less than 300 total yards per game. Brady will welcome top WR Mike Evans back into the fold after a one-game suspension sidelined him last week.
There is still uncertainty about when and where this game will be played due to Hurricane Ian. Whenever the game kicks off, expect the Bucs to bounce off last week’s offensive effort and stay competitive against Kansas City in another defensive affair.

Week 3 Wong Teaser Result: Win
Packers (+7.5) over Bucs AND Panthers (+8.5) over Saints
Both of these games were never in doubt from a teaser perspective. Green Bay and Carolina largely controlled both contests and then staved off late challenges to win. We’ll take it.
2022 Wong Teaser Record: 1-2
Season Bottom Line: -$140
