With Thursday night’s release of the 2022 NFL schedule, sportsbooks are adding Week 1 odds to their wagering menus. The season opens with Bills vs. Rams on Thursday, September 8, the Bucs visit the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, and the first Monday night game of the season features Russell Wilson’s return to Seattle as a member of the Denver Broncos.
The NFL traditionally opens the season at the home of the defending Super Bowl champs — in this case, SoFi Stadium near Los Angeles. There is early disagreement among sportsbooks as to the favorite in this game.
Opening odds at SuperBook USA have the Rams priced as short favorites with a total of 52.5, per a tweet from director John Murray, while FanDuel went Buffalo -1 (-105) with a total of 51.5.

Sunday Night Football Opener
For the second year in a row, the Bucs and Cowboys open the season against each other, this time in Dallas. Again, there’s a discrepancy between the SuperBook and FanDuel, the former opening Tampa -1.5 (52), the latter dealing Tampa -2.5 (51.5).
In Week 1 last season, the Bucs prevailed 31-29 at home but failed to cover the 10-point spread.
