Week 13 of the 2022 NFL season contains a ton of juicy storylines, making for an exciting opportunity to wager on player props and anytime touchdown scorer bets.

One of the players on our radar is Deshaun Watson, who returns from a nearly two-year absence and faces his former team of four seasons. We’re also highlighting Justin Jefferson, who gets matched up with New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner this Sunday.

Player Props & TD Scorer Bets for NFL Week 13

Deshaun Watson Over 252.5 Passing Yards (+106, Caesars) | Over 1.5 Passing TDs (-145, BetMGM)

One of the NFL’s most dynamic quarterbacks returns to the field and gets tasked with one of the easiest assignments of any player this week.

We can’t use any recent stats or trends to justify taking this prop, so let’s rewind to 2020. In Watson’s last season, he led the league in passing yards (4,823) and yards per attempt (8.9), and that was with one of the weakest supporting casts in the league.

We can’t say with 100% confidence that Watson’s going to be the Deshaun Watson of old in his very first game since 2020. However, his prop totals are set way too low for a guy as talented as him. Add in the fact that he’s going up against the team that he has major animosity towards, and he’s poised to have one of the best individual debuts of the season.

Derrick Henry Anytime TD Scorer (-116, Caesars)

Is there a price too steep to not back King Henry’s anytime touchdown prop? Unlikely. And if there is, it surely isn’t -116 at Caesars.

Henry has the third most rushing scores in the league this season (10), and has scored in seven of his 11 games.

It’s almost a foregone conclusion he finds the painted part of the field any given Sunday, especially when the offense enters the red zone. The Titans have scored a touchdown on 66.7% of their red zone trips (fifth highest in the league), and Henry has been a huge reason for that.

The Philadelphia Eagles give up 3.3 red zone trips per game on average. Henry just needs to punch it in hard once for bettors to hit pay dirt. Philly has allowed an opposing player to run for a touchdown in each of its last three contests.

Logan Thomas Over 22.5 Receiving Yards (-121, Caesars)

Logan Thomas has played more like a dud than like a stud in 2022. His outputs include three games with at least 37 yards and six games with 19 or fewer yards. Our confidence in the tight end clearly doesn’t come from his play.

We’re buying into the matchup – a good one at that. The New York Giants defense is average at best, and they don’t make guarding tight ends a priority either. They give up the third most receiving yards to tight ends (61.6 per game) and have allowed 10 different players at the position to amass 23-plus receiving yards on the year.

Justin Jefferson Under 84.5 Receiving Yards (-115, DraftKings)

Justin Jefferson has made light work of most cornerbacks this season, but on Sunday, he faces one of the best shut-down corners in the league in Sauce Gardner. Gardner has put multiple star wideouts on an island, and we have Jefferson getting added to the list.

A huge part of Jefferson’s game is catching deep passes, as he leads the league in grabs of 20-plus yards. Unfortunately for him, Gardner has given up just one catch of 20-plus yards on the entire year.

The matchup simply isn’t great for Minnesota’s stud receiver. Gardner is tailor-made to guard a player like Jefferson.
