Welcome back to another week of Gaming Today’s Bookies Battle 2023. With the Carolina Panthers struggling and now likely without quarterback Bryce Young, the Seattle Seahawks are the top consensus pick. As of Friday, Young was confirmed to be out for at least one week.

Let’s take a look at all consensus picks for NFL Week 3 odds. We’ll also take a look at the current standings for the 2023 Bookies Battle.

NFL Week 3 Picks: Bookies Battle Consensus

  1. Seattle Seahawks – 75% of picks | Contest Spread: SEA -5.5 vs. CAR | Live Spread:
  2. Washington Commanders – 65% of picks | Contest Spread: WSH +6.5 vs. BUF | Live Spread:
  3. New York Jets – 65% of picks | Contest Spread: NYJ +3 vs. NE | Live Spread:
  4. Las Vegas Raiders – 65% of picks | Contest Spread: LV +1 vs. PIT | Live Spread:
  5. Dallas Cowboys – 63% of picks | DAL -12 vs. ARZ | Live Spread:

Three-fourths of our bookies have selected the Seattle Seahawks to cover the full 5.5-point spread against the Carolina Panthers. It’s been a learning curve in Bryce Young’s first season in the NFL, and now the Panthers won’t have the quarterback in Week 3. This is likely the reason why most bookies are comfortable laying the points.

Three teams are seeing 65% of the picks. One of the teams is the New York Jets, who are coming off a bad loss to Dallas. The Jets are 3-point underdogs to the Patriots, a game that was much higher on the radar before New England’s slow start and Aaron Rodgers’ injury.

Many of our bookies like the Cowboys in a big way this weekend. They are 12-point favorites against the Cardinals and are receiving 63% of the picks. It’s hard to take those points after seeing Arizona collapse against the New York Giants last Sunday.

Matchups listed include the percentage of picks for the most-selected team and the contest spread for the opponent. 55% of our bookies picked the Giants, but it was the 49ers who won and covered the 10.5-point spread.

Kansas City is the other team that is heavily favored, but the bookies don’t trust them as much being 13-point favorites. However, they get a slight edge with 51% of the picks. The next-closest result is Tampa Bay to cover as 5.5-point home dogs against Philadelphia.

In the battle of 0-2 teams, Minnesota and the LA Chargers are desperate. Our bookies favor the Vikings at home with 61% of the picks.

Another big spread our bookies are laying the points with is Jacksonville -8.5 with 55% of the picks. They anticipate the offense won’t struggle in the red zone as much. Considering Houston has given up 56 points over their first two games, they probably won’t.

Bookies Battle Results from Week 2 and Overall Standings

socrates cherry (ALIANTE) went 13-3 in Week 2 and was the lone finisher at the top. The only losses they took were the Raiders, the Jaguars, and the Texans. Their biggest win against the consensus was taking the Cowboys as massive 9.5-point favorites.

AL Beal (PARIS LAS VEGAS) and Arthur Heun (Gold Strike Tunica) tied for second with a 12-4 record. 11 players finished with the next-best record at 10-6.

After the first two weeks of the season, socrates cherry and Arthur Heun landed in second and third place, respectively. In first place, Duane Colucci (Rampart Casino) has a one-game edge with a 23-10 record. Duane Colucci went 9-7 in Week 2 but holds on to first place after finishing at the top in Week 1.
