The betting line for the Week 5 Bills at Chiefs tilt, a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game, has moved steadily toward the road underdog, with Kansas City -2.5 (-120) a prominent number on oddsboards Friday. The Chiefs were -3.5 in advanced wagering last week and opened -3 at most sportsbooks earlier this week. Bills +3 (-114) was available at FanDuel as of this Friday update.
In an important NFC West contest in Week 5, the Cardinals are priced between -4.5 (WynnBet, PointsBet) to -5 (Caesars) for their home date with the 49ers. Arizona was just -2.5 on look-ahead lines last week but earned more believers with a 37-20 win at the Rams last week. The number was as high as Arizona -5.5 at some sportsbooks, including DraftKings and BetRivers, in early wagering.
Other intriguing games on the Week 5 card include a Sunday morning treat from London, and then Packers at Bengals, Browns at Chargers, and Giants at Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.
The Rams covered as 2.5-point favorites in a 26-17 win at Seahawks on Thursday night to kick off the week’s NFL action.
Here’s a look at the NFL Week 5 betting board. Point spreads and totals reflect the market consensus as of Friday.

NFL Week 5 Lines & Early Moves
Point spreads, totals, and early adjustments for this week’s NFL betting action.
Jets vs. Falcons (-3 even, 45.5)
A significant market move toward the Jets for this game in London that kicks off at 9:30 am ET, just in time for some breakfast betting, as the Falcons opened -3.5 and are down to -2.5 (-120) at several shops. Atlanta will be without wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Justin Gage.
Eagles at Panthers (-3, 44.5)
It’s been dog and UNDER money for this pairing of NFC hopefuls, which opened Carolina -4 and 46.
Packers (-3 even, 50.5) at Bengals
In this inter-conference battle of 3-1 teams, the hook drew some attention from bettors who grabbed Cincy +3.5 early. The line, in fact, sits -2.5 (-120) in some spots. The total has been pushed up from 49.
Patriots (-9, 39.5) at Texans
One of the largest spreads of the week comes with the lowest total, a dynamic that — despite Houston’s ineptitude — may have caught the eye of underdog bettors, as 9.5s and have become 8.5s on some oddsboards.
Titans (-4.5, 48.5) at Jaguars
SuperBook USA opened Tennessee -3.5 on Sunday night, a massive adjustment from the shop’s look-ahead line of -7.5. The Titans were without their two best wide receivers when they lost as 5.5-point favorites at the Jets in overtime in Week 4, 27-24. Jacksonville is one of two winless teams remaining in the league but was game in 24-21 loss at the Bengals on Thursday.
Lions at Vikings (-10, 49.5)
A large spread has become larger as bettors fade the NFL’s other winless team, the Lions, pushing the line up from 8.5.
Broncos (-1, 39.5) at Steelers
After early sentiment on Pittsburgh moved the line to Pitt -1 from a pick ‘em opener, the favorite has flipped. Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater is expected to start after being cleared from concussion protocol.
Dolphins at Bucs (-10, 48)
Dog bettors grabbed Dolphins +10.5 early, and UNDER money has also shown up ahead of the weekend. The Bucs continue to command large point spreads, but they haven’t been covering many of them, falling to 1-3 ATS with their narrow 19-17 win as touchdown favorites in New England on Sunday night.
Saints (-2.5, 43.5) at Washington
Books have written some action on Saints -1, as the line sits between -2 and -2.5 Friday. The total has seen a downward adjustment from 44.
Browns at Chargers (-2, 47)
Early action has been on the Chargers in the matchup of AFC contenders, which opened pick ’em. Contestants competing in Bookies Battle are on board with their customers, as Los Angeles is the most popular pick of this season’s contest so far.
Bears at Raiders (-5.5, 44.5)
Small move on the Raiders, who opened -5, and UNDER, which opened 45.
49ers at Cardinals (-4.5, 50.5)
The bigger move on this game has come on the total, as it’s been bet down from 53.5.
Giants at Cowboys (-7, 52)
Despite another impressive showing by Dallas in a 36-28 win over the Panthers, this line tightened from a -8.5 look-ahead number and from a -7.5 opener. OVER love has pushed the total up from 50.5.
Bills at Chiefs (-3, 56.5)
If this total sticks, it will be the highest of the season so far. OVER 55 cashed in Kansas City’s 38-24 playoff win over Buffalo last January.
Colts at Ravens (-7, 47.5)
WynnBET goes Baltimore -6.5 for the Week 5 Monday nighter, which sees the Colts look for their second win of the season as they visit their former hometown.
