It’s another weekly report on Gaming Today’s 2023 Bookies Battle. Let’s take a look at the top consensus picks from our bookies this week and recap what’s happened so far in NFL pick results.

Our NFL Week 5 picks start off with a consensus victory. The Chicago Bears took down the Washington Commanders on the road, 40-20.

Last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars received a whopping 79% of the picks and they easily blew out the Atlanta Falcons in London. They’ll be playing there once again this week, but this time they’re taking on the Buffalo Bills. That game is essentially split down the middle with 51% of our bookies taking Bills -5.5.

NFL Week 5 Picks: Top Bookies Battle Consensus

  1. Miami Dolphins – 72% of picks – Contest Spread: MIA -10.5 vs. NYG
  2. Las Vegas Raiders – 66% of picks – Contest Spread: LV +2.5 vs. GB
  3. San Francisco 49ers – 64% of picks – Contest Spread: SF -3.5 vs. DAL
  4. Detroit Lions – 62% of picks – Contest Spread: DET -9 vs. CAR

The top consensus pick of Week 5 belongs to Miami -10.5, which is the longest spread of the week. And yet, most bookies are laying the points. There’s no confidence that the Giants will be competitive against Tua Tagovailoa and the strong Dolphins offense.

Perhaps surprisingly, the second-highest pick on the list is Raiders +2.5 against the Packers. After that, many of our bookies like the 49ers -3.5 in the big game of the week on Sunday night.

Three selections are tied at 58% of the picks. The consensus was on the right side of the Bears getting 6.5 points against the Commanders. Chicago easily took that game outright, 40-20.

The other two that 58% of our bookies selected were the Patriots by -1.5 against the Saints, and the Vikings getting 5.5 points against the Chiefs.

Denver is favored by two points in our contest against the New York Jets. Pittsburgh is a 4.5-point home dog against Baltimore.

Bookies Battle Results from Week 4 and Overall Standings

Congratulations to Kenny Martin (Caesars Sportsbook – Horseshoe Tunica) for finishing alone in first place in Week 4 with an 11-4 record. He went the other way on one of the top consensus picks, taking the Titans over the Bengals.

There was a 10-way tie for second place with a 10-5 record. The Bengals, Dolphins, and Cardinals were some of the most popular picks among the group that ended up being losses.

Duane Colucci (Rampart Casino) was a part of that 10-5 group, helping him retain first place overall after four weeks. They hold a cumulative 43-20 record and a five-game lead over Tim Nortz (Northern Quest). At third place and one game behind with a 37-26 record stands AL Beal (Paris Las Vegas).
