You won’t have to wait long to wager on the NFL’s biggest matchup in Week 8. That comes on Thursday night, as the Green Bay Packers travel to Phoenix to take on the Arizona Cardinals.
The Cardinals remain the league’s only unbeaten team after defeating the Houston Texans 31-5 on Sunday. In doing so, they covered the biggest spread of the season (as high as -20.5 at some sportsbooks by kickoff) and ran their ATS record to 6-1 on the year.
The Aaron Rodgers-led Packers dispatched the Washington Football Team, 24-10. They are 6-1 overall and ATS this season.
SuperBook USA opened the odds for Thursday night’s contest at Cardinals -3.5 with a total of 52.5.
Let’s dig into the rest of the Week 8 opening lines.

NFL Week 8 Point Spreads And Totals
Current as of noon ET Monday
Dolphins at Bills (-13.5, 49)
Tough spot for the Dolphins, who lost on a last-second field goal to the Falcons on Sunday. The Bills are coming off a bye week, and the Dolphins had to play Atlanta after their game in London the previous week. Miami opted for a later bye but can say bye-bye to the playoffs after a 1-6 start.
Panthers at Falcons (-2.5, 47)
Carolina’s implosion continued in inglorious fashion with a 25-3 loss to the Giants. The Panthers have now failed to win or cover four straight games. The suggestion here is to keep pounding with win bets on their opponents until further notice.
Eagles (-3/-120, 48) at Lions
Detroit is the only winless team in the NFL, losing 28-19 to the Rams this past weekend. Several sportsbooks, including Caesars, opened with the Eagles juiced up to -120 while laying three against the Lions.
Titans at Colts (-1, 49)
Tennessee and Indy are both coming off huge wins against the Chiefs and 49ers, respectively. With easy covers ATS, both are now 5-2 against the number this year.
Rams (-14.5, 46) at Texans
This is the biggest spread on the Week 8 slate, opening Rams -15.5 at the influential Circa Sports in downtown Las Vegas. L.A. won 28-19 Sunday but failed to cover as 16.5-point chalk against Detroit.
Bengals (-9.5, 44) at Jets
If you like the Jets and the points, DraftKings is offering +10 after early wagering bumped this number from the consensus +9.5.
Steelers at Browns (-3, 43.5)
Despite being decimated by injuries, Cleveland managed to win and cover against the Broncos on Thursday night. This dog fight of a rivalry resumes on Halloween at the Dog Pound. One to watch, for sure.
49ers (-3.5, 42.5) at Bears
The SuperBook opened San Fran -4, a number that interested underdog bettors, as -3.5 is showing on oddsboards throughout the betting marketplace Monday.
Jaguars at Seahawks (-3.5, 44)
Keep an eye on how Seattle fares as a home dog in MNF against the Saints. The Jaguars are coming off a bye and their first win of the season in London.
Chargers (-5.5, 47.5) at Patriots
The Chargers will be coming off their bye after a humbling 34-6 loss at Baltimore. They are still significant favorites in Week 8, while the Pats are coming off their first home victory and ATS win of the season after pasting the Jets, 54-13.
Washington Football Team at Broncos (-3.5, 43.5)
Denver limps into this game with four consecutive losses, failing to cover the number in all of those games, too. This from a team that began the year 3-0 overall and ATS.
Bucs (-4.5, 50) at Saints
While WynnBET offered Bucs -4 on Sunday night, the line is a consensus -4.5 and as high as -5 as of this Monday post.
Cowboys (-1.5, 53.5) at Vikings
How ‘bout them Cowboys? Dallas has been a cover machine this year with a perfect 6-0 ATS record. WynnBET is dealing +2 for Vikes bettors.
Monday: Giants at Chiefs (-10, 52)
It appears Patrick Mahomes will be fine for this MNF matchup against the Giants. Head coach Andy Reid said his star QB cleared concussion protocol after a nasty hit against Tennessee. Do you still trust K.C. to cover a double-digit number at this point?
