Player Props & TD Scorer Bets for NFL Week 8

Justin Jefferson Over 88.5 Receiving Yards (-119, Caesars)

When you look at Jefferson’s body of work, it makes you wonder if his receiving prop total for this week should be higher.

Minnesota’s top receiver averages 109.0 receiving yards this season, 20.5 more than his prop bet for Sunday. He’s even hit 107 yards receiving in three straight contests and is 4-2 to the Over against his Week 8 prop total.

Coming off a bye, Jefferson is fresh and ready to roll against an Arizona Cardinals defense that ranks 25th in yards allowed through the air (258.6 per game).

George Kittle Under 51.5 Receiving Yards (-104, Caesars)

George Kittle has played like the George Kittle of old in his past two outings, but he now faces the NFL’s preeminent defense against tight ends: the Los Angeles Rams. LA has held all opposing tight ends to just 120 yards receiving on the entire season. That averages out to 20 per contest.

Kittle totaled just 25 yards from two catches in his first meeting against the Rams in Week 4. With target-monster Christian McCaffrey now a 49er, San Fran’s tight end may be in for another rough day playing football.

Juwan Johnson Over 37.5 Receiving Yards (-115, DraftKings), Anytime TD Scorer (+250, DraftKings)

A former receiver, Johnson has a knack for catching passes. He hauled in all five of his targets for 32 yards and two touchdowns against the Cardinals last week with fellow tight end Adam Trautman out with a bum ankle.

Johnson is averaging 39 receiving yards in the four games his counterpart missed either partially or entirely this season. With Trautman trending towards a second straight miss, Johnson will enjoy going up against a Raiders defense that gives up the 14th most receiving yards (53.0) and the most touchdowns (1.0) per game.

Of course, it’s still likely he leaves Sunday’s game without a touchdown, but +250 odds make it worth the gamble.

Alvin Kamara Over 104.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-115, DraftKings), Longest Rush Over 14.5 Yards (-110, DraftKings)

After dealing with injuries and Jameis “Chuck It Deep” Winston at the beginning of the season, Kamara has returned to being a productive dual-threat running back.

Kamara’s uptick in production can be partially attributed to Andy Dalton. In the three games with Dalton under center, the versatile back had scrimmage yardage totals of 194, 124, and 105, as well as six-plus catches in each contest.

He now gets a date with a Las Vegas Raiders defense that gives up the third most receptions to running backs (seven per game on average).

Kamara’s shifty running style has also helped him break through for huge yardage. He’s top his Week 8 total for longest rush (14.5 yards) in four of his five games played this season.
