Betting on NFL season win totals is ongoing at sportsbooks including DraftKings.
DraftKings has futures odds for all 32 NFL teams except one — the Cleveland Browns — with the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers topping the betting board with the highest number of wins at 11.5.
Buffalo, which opens the season against the defending Super Bowl champion LA Rams on September 8, finished 11-6 last season. Tampa Bay helped over bettors cash season win total tickets last year by going 13-4 during the 2021 regular season.

Editor’s note: Given the uncertainty over QB Deshaun Watson’s playing status, the Browns remained off the board at several sportsbooks, including DraftKings and PointsBet as of Monday, August 15. But FanDuel was dealing Cleveland at +125 over and -145 under on an 8.5 win total.
Be Careful with the Cowboys
Many Cowboys backers might be salivating over the prospect of betting on Dallas to go over 10 wins at -110. The Cowboys finished 12-5 last year and led the NFL in scoring with 31.2 points per game. But it had been five years since Dallas eclipsed 10 wins prior to last season.
When it comes to the Cowboys, things tend to get blown out of proportion in terms of expectations and results. Are you paying a built-in tax with Dallas at this number simply because it’s the Cowboys? Proceed with caution.
It seems bettors are doing just that as the odds on Dallas at DraftKings have stayed the same since July 18.
Packers Worth a Punt?
Green Bay’s lofty win total sits at 11. Aaron Rodgers is back, but his WR corps has been decimated with the departures of Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The No. 1 receiver on the team’s depth chart is Allen Lazard.
Helping Green Bay’s cause? It has the 11th easiest schedule, per the NFL’s rankings with two divisional games against both the Lions and Bears, along with back-to-back tilts against the Giants and Jets.

Two AFC Teams to Consider Backing
Pittsburgh had a modest season win total of 7 at DraftKings, which has since bumped that number up to 7.5 as of August 15. Some sportsbooks, including Caesars, had the Steelers pegged at 9 wins entering last season, and bettors pushed as they went 9-7-1.
Stat to know: Mike Tomlin has never won fewer than eight games in his 15 years as head coach of the Steelers. Does that mean you should run to the window and jump on the over for this season? Not necessarily.
The biggest question, or one of them anyway, is will Mitch Trubisky or rookie Kenny Pickett emerge as the starting QB after training camp? The production of Pittsburgh’s offensive unit will revolve around that result. The Steelers still have solid parts in RB Najee Harris and WRs Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool.
Pittsburgh’s defense has TJ Watt, Cameron Heyward, and Minkah Fitzpatrick all returning to what should be a formidable unit.
Denver has a franchise QB for the first time in years, as Russell Wilson embarks on a new era for the Broncos. Denver had one of the best RB duos in the NFL last year, too. Melvin Gordon (918) and Javonte Williams (903) combined for 1,821 yards on the ground — and both are back this season. Wilson also has a pair of talented WRs to target in Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.
DraftKings has Denver’s season win total at 10 with -110 on both sides of the bet. That’s a significant bump from the 7.5 BetMGM opened the Broncos at entering last season. It makes sense when Wilson is set to be your QB instead of Teddy Bridgewater or Drew Lock.

What Sportsbooks Have the Best Odds on Season Win Totals?
This is a difficult question to answer with any certainty. Futures odds tend to fluctuate more than most betting markets. It’s always critical to compare the odds being dealt at different sportsbooks across the industry. Depending on your chosen bet, any of these sportsbooks could potentially offer the best odds.
- DraftKings: Best Overall Betting Experience
- BetMGM: Best for New Bettors
- Caesars: Best for Retail Bettors
- BetRivers: Best for Deposit Bonus
- FanDuel: Best for iOS & Android App
- PointsBet: Best for Exotic Bets
- Unibet: Best for International Sports Fans
What Other NFL Futures Bets Can I Make Prior to the Season?
The most popular futures market involves betting on the winner of Super Bowl 57. As of this writing, the Buffalo Bills are the +600 betting favorite at DraftKings. A $100 bet on Buffalo pays $600 (along with your original $100 stake) if the Bills win it all.
But what if you want to back the New York Giants? DraftKings offers the G-Men at +13000, and FanDuel is dealing NY at only +8500. This is another great example of futures’ fluctuations at different books. Clearly, if you’re making a bet on the Giants, you should head to DraftKings instead of FanDuel.

Another popular NFL futures market? Betting on NFL teams to make or miss the playoffs. These are fun bets to make on a variety of teams, including your favorite NFL squad. Every team has an implied probability of making the playoffs based on these futures odds.
At DraftKings, Tampa Bay is being dealt at -650 odds to make the NFL Playoffs. The Bucs own the highest implied probability to do so at 86.67%.
How about the NFL team with the least chance of advancing to the postseason? That would be the Houston Texans at odds of +1600 with an implied probability of 5.88%.
Frequently Asked Questions
You have two options: Bet under or over a team’s season win total. For example, DraftKings had a total of 10 wins posted for Dallas with -110 odds on both sides of the bet. You’re betting whether the Cowboys will win more or fewer than 10 games.
You can bet on the winner of Super Bowl 57 throughout the year. You can also wager on teams to make the NFL Playoffs.
The Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams have a posted total of 11.5 wins at DraftKings.
Tough call. If you bet on Buffalo to win more than 11.5 games last year, the Bills came up short with an 11-6 record. Tampa Bay covered the 11.5 total with 13 wins last season.
