NHL Player Props for Tuesday, Nov. 28

Here are some of our best sports betting apps that you could consider for your NHL betting action. We’ll now look at some player props from tonight’s action in the NHL. The best odds available are next to the player listed.

Brock Boeser: Over 2.5 shots

The last game of tonight’s packed slate of games is the Vancouver Canucks, 14-7-1 for the season and second in the Pacific Division, hosting the Anaheim Ducks. In his team’s previous game against the Sharks, Brock Boeser scored twice in seven shots in the Canucks’ 4-3 defeat. Boeser is a shot-taker and a goalscorer (he is the joint-leading scorer in the NHL this season) and will continue to be a pivotal player in Vancouver’s puck movement. That won’t change anytime soon.

Even though the odds are a bit short for Boeser to take three or more shots, it’s a safer selection, especially if you are considering a parlay. Here are some stats from Boeser’s season that may sway you. In 22 games this season, he has taken 62 shots at an average of 2.81 shots per game. Let us extrapolate that further. In his career, which has spanned 420 games, he has taken 1,158 shots, at an average of 2.75 shots per game.

That means his season so far has been just above his career average. He has been a bit of a revelation this season as he admitted himself a few days ago. “It was just really tough the last few years. I wasn’t home much other than in the summer, so I think I resented the game for a bit,” Boeser told NHL.com. “Hockey wasn’t fun, and I think I just had to really realize what our dream was when I was a kid, and that was to play in the NHL. It’s not hockey’s fault that it got in the way.” The proof is in the statistics for this prop bet. Take the Over for Boeser on 2.5 shots.

William Karlsson: Over 0.5 assists

The Golden Knights have been in excellent form right through this season. However, they are also coming off two successive losses. And have lost plenty of their early-season momentum — the Golden Knights have lost four of their last five games.

When seasons start to feel long, teams usually rely on their most prolific offensive weapons to get them out of that rut. In this case, the Golden Knights will certainly be looking at William Karlsson to do plenty of work. He is the team’s leading goalscorer with 10 and also has 21 points. Even though assisting is not his primary skill, we’ve gone with Karlsson to make an assist because of the longer odds, which will also influence your estimated payout.

This season so far, Karlsson has made 11 assists in 22 games at an average of one assist in every two games. He has scored just two goals with no assists in the last five games. Considering the odds of +145, it is a bit of a long shot but it might just be worth the punt because you would expect the Golden Knights to respond to their current misery with some resilience and determination, led by their offensive group.

Sam Reinhart: Over 2.5 shots

Sam Reinhart has been in sparkling offensive form this season. Along with Boeser, he is the leading goalscorer in the NHL, with 15 so far. He scored two of those goals in his team’s 5-0 drubbing of Ottawa in the previous game. “The first few special teams put us in a good position,” Reinhart said. “We came out with a playoff mentality, trying to get our power play going a little bit.”

That game was important for two reasons. One, Reinhart broke a four-game streak without any goals, which was the longest he has had this season. Two, the return to confidence for one of the NHL’s better offensive players bodes well for bettors looking for the Over. That’s one of the primary reasons we have added Reinhart to our NHL prop bets for tonight.

Let’s take a look at some numbers to further prove our case. In 21 games this season, he has 55 shots to his name along with 12 assists and 27 points in this timeframe. That equates to a season average of 2.61 shots per game, with a plus/minus of 10. These numbers are significantly better than his career averages. His confidence is back after a few subpar games, the Panthers are in sprightly form, and the betting over is starting to look very lucrative, especially at odds of +105 for one of the league’s best.
