There are nine games on Monday night’s NHL schedule, including an intriguing rematch of last season’s biggest upset in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The Florida Panthers, who snuck into the playoffs at the end of the regular season, shocked the heavily favored Boston Bruins in seven games in the first round. The Bruins set an NHL record for most wins (65) and points (135) during the regular season.
Revenge is best served cold, as the saying goes, and the TD Garden ice in Boston will be the most interesting game to watch. There will be opportunities for NHL player props and we’ll pick our favorites here.

NHL Player Props for Monday, October 30
For tonight’s picks, we highlight the following three games.
- Panthers at Bruins, 7 p.m. ET
- Ducks at Penguins, 7 p.m. ET
- Red Wings at Islanders, 7:30 p.m. ET
Below, we have the total points markets for the highlighted matchups. These are the best odds available across the top sports betting apps we recommend.
David Pastrnak – Over 0.5 Goals
Live:
Hockey is a long season, with 82 games spread over six months. Some regular-season games are more important than others. For the Bruins, this revenge game should provide full focus.
Pastrnak has scored eight goals in eight games this season. He scored 61 goals last season. Expect a physical, hard-hitting game with lots of penalties. The Panthers have the league’s worst penalty-kill at 66.7 percent. The odds favor a Pastrnak goal.
Sidney Crosby – Over 3.5 Shots
Live:
The Ducks are finishing a successful four-game road trip. Anaheim defeated Columbus, Boston, and Philadelphia before landing in Pittsburgh. The Ducks handed the Bruins their first loss of the season on Oct. 26.
The Penguins have struggled to a 3-5 record so far this season. What better opportunity for a struggling team than an opponent that has been on the road for a week?
Sidney Crosby, at age 36, has five goals and four assists in eight games. He has at least three shots in each of the Penguins’ eight games. The Ducks allow more shots than any team at 39.11 per game.
Dylan Larkin – Over 0.5 Points
Live:
The Red Wings started the season 5-1 before losing their last three games. Detroit believes it is good enough to end a playoff drought that extends to 2016.
Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin has 15 points in 11 games. Detroit also has the NHL’s third-best power play, scoring at 34.3 percent.
