There’s one final playoff ticket on the line as the 2023 NFL regular season reaches its finale. Two longtime rivals lock up in a high-stakes encounter as the Green Bay Packers host the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football.
With playoff implications attached, bettors may find additional value on player props and anytime touchdown scorer bets for this NFC showdown, and we have found a few key wagers to consider as the final wild-card spot is on the line.
Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers SNF Odds
The Packers are hovering around a 4.5 to 5-point favorite, depending on your favorite sportsbook. The total is set at 49 points, a half-point higher in some places, and the Lions going anywhere from +180 to +198 money line depending on where you shop.
According to ESPN, Green Bay is 17-9 ATS in its last 26 games as a home favorite. The implications of this match make this much more than any regular season game, however.
The task is simple enough for Green Bay: win and clinch the final wild-card spot in the NFC. The Lions need a Seahawks loss earlier in the day to have a chance at the final playoff spot. That result will be known by the time this game kicks off so both teams could be equally motivated, making the stakes that much higher.
Player Props, Anytime TD Scorer Bets for Week 18 SNF
Jared Goff Over 1.5 TD passes (+115, DraftKings)
Regardless of the Lions’ qualification chances, Goff and company want to end the season with a victory and secure a winning record. They can deny the Packers a ticket to the playoffs with a win and maybe even go through themselves.
Jared Goff needs to live up to the moment and that account for a night with at least two touchdowns. The QB has at least two touchdown passes in five of his last six games, including against the division-winner Minnesota Vikings.
There should be a good quarterback battle ahead and that will mean quite a bit of passing. DraftKings looks to have the best value for Goff going over 1.5 touchdowns.
Brock Wright Anytime TD Scorer (+800, FanDuel)
Brock Wright has four touchdown receptions all season, but three of those have come in the last three weeks. Fellow tight end Shane Zylstra has also scored four TDs this season, and there’s some good value on him if you think he’ll get one in this game, but three of those came in a big game against the Panthers.
Wright’s run looks to have a bit more consistency to go with it. There’s definitely trust from Goff to go to his tight ends, and the Lions have now set a new franchise record for TDs from TEs in a season with 12 – breaking the previous high mark set back in 2011.
That record can still be extended against the Packers and expect Wright to have the best chances to make that happen. At +800, that’s might be an enticing bet to place with FanDuel seemingly providing the best value.
AJ Dillon Anytime TD Scorer (+130, Caesars)
On many sportsbook apps, you have to lay money to see AJ Dillon cash if he scores. Caesars is offering you extra value for placing the bet.

Dillon has seen the end zone at least once in the past five games. The six touchdowns he has scored during that span account for all but one of his season total of seven. Dillon is carrying plenty of momentum right now and expects the Packers to keep him involved.
It’s going to be hard to find value, so you may want to push the button early. These types of odds may not be around on Dillon by the time the game kicks off on Sunday.

Aaron Rodgers Interception (+140, FanDuel)
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has been intercepted 11 times on the season, and there could be one more in the books. With this being a big game, it won’t be rare to see Rodgers going for big plays.
The Lions aren’t necessarily among the top teams in the interceptions category, but all they need is one for you to cash in. Regardless of the Seahawks result, the pressure will be on Green Bay to search for the victory or risk ending their season.
FanDuel provides the best odds for this particular prop, but most sportsbooks look to be offering added value for a Rodgers interception. This may be one to ponder to use for a bonus bet or an insured first wager if you’re just starting fresh.
