Eagles vs. Chiefs Player Props
Don’t just bet on the game. Here’s a few player props to consider for Eagles vs. Chiefs:
Jalen Hurts Anytime TD Scorer (+115, DraftKings)
Jalen Hurts is the most prolific touchdown scorer at the quarterback position the league has to offer. He has hit pay dirt in six of his nine games and eight times total on the season.
Travis Kelce Under 75.5 Receiving Yards (-115, Caesars)
The Chiefs’ offense isn’t as explosive as it has been in year’s past, and it has taken a hit on Travis Kelce’s numbers. Outside of a two-game stretch in October where he combined for 303 yards, Kelce has failed to hit this week’s receiving line in six games this season. He has 72 yards over the last two games alone.
Philadelphia’s defense has been pretty generous through the air for opposing offenses overall, but not to tight ends. Only one tight end (Dallas Cowboys’ Jake Ferguson with 91) has racked up 76-plus yards on the Eagles all season. The top tight end of each game is averaging just 39.8 yards against the Eagles.
Eagles vs. Chiefs Analysis & Prediction
Everything about last year’s meeting in the big game was as expected. Patrick Mahomes, while not throwing for a ton of yards, scored three touchdowns through the air. Hurts used his legs in a major way. AJ Brown played bigger than his 226-pound frame.
The Chiefs’ offense has taken a dip in 2023, ranking 13th in scoring and putting up 30-plus points just twice in nine games. Fortunately, they also sport the league’s best defense, which holds opponents to 15.9 points per contest.
Now for last season’s runner up. The Eagles have the opposite plan of attack at the Chiefs, ranking third in scoring offense (28.0 points per game) and 17th in scoring defense (21.7 points per game).
The total point is at a modest 45.5, but don’t be surprised if both teams bleed into the 30s – the final score in the Super Bowl was 38-35.
Both teams are masters of winning close games. The Chiefs are 4-1 in games decided by fewer than 10 points, while Philadelphia is 5-1 in one-score games.
The Eagles’ sole loss came against the New York Jets in Week 6. In that game, Hurts threw three picks and the team lost the turnover battle, 4-0, despite beating New York in almost every major statistical category. Outside of that one weird defeat, the Eagles have been undefeated.
The Chiefs’ two losses were much more understandable and repeatable. And no matter how strong they are on defense, they will probably still have trouble stopping Hurts on the ground and AJ Brown, who has topped 100-plus yards in six games this year.
