Celebrity Chef Giada De Laurentiis has opened a second restaurant in Las Vegas called Pronto by Giada at Caesars Palace. Her first restaurant has been a big hit at the Cromwell.
Pronto is taking her signature Italian dishes and offering them in a more casual fast pace as Giada is promoting the restaurant as a “Quick bite of the good life.” Pronto is located right across from the entrance to the Caesars’ highly successful Bacchanal Buffet. For me, as someone who plays a lot of poker at Caesars, having a place to get some good food quick is a welcome addition to the food choices.
There are many great restaurants at Caesars but when you are playing poker or watching games in the sportsbook you don’t want to be away from the action that long, especially if your table is running good. So usually you have to settle for a burger or slice of pizza from the food court. Well, not anymore.
Pronto offers everything from breakfast sandwiches to mixed grill items. The first item I tried was in the evening, settling in on a cup of the Pomodoro Meatball soup, which was so good. You will want to dip bread in this soup. I also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches – the Antipasti Breakfast, which had Nueske’s bacon, Prosciutto cotto, Mortadella, Piquillo pepper Mascarpone and Provolone. All the different flavors complimented one another. This is a very filling breakfast sandwich and well worth the $9 price.
The menu has a lot of options, as some of the sandwiches they offer are a Lobster Roll, Artichoke & Tuna Panini, Turkey Avocado and Bacon Sandwich. One of the signature sandwiches is the Curried Chicken Panini. Giada offers a wide selection of healthy salad choices as well, including a Baby Kale Chicken Caesar, California-style Chopped Salad with grilled shrimp. Giada’s signature salad is the Arugula with crispy Pancetta & Candied Lemon. All the salads are priced between $9 and $12. They also offer items from the mixed grill as you can get Cacciatore Chicken, Citrus Salmon and Tuscan Steak. Each of these items come with two side dishes and are priced between $16-$18.
You can’t have an Italian kitchen and not have great desserts and pastries. Pronto has everything from bagels, muffins and croissants to scones, cakes and cookies. The Sin City Chocolate Chip and Lemon Ricotta Cookies are to die for.
Pronto by Giada is also a full gourmet coffee shop. Plus they have a wide variety of Italian Gelato to satisfy that sweet tooth craving.
I absolutely love the concept of Pronto as it really does provide a quick but very good food alternative at very reasonable prices considering it’s at Caesars on the Las Vegas Strip. You can eat your meal right there or grab it to go. This is a really great option to the food court and with such a varied menu it will take me awhile to try everything. I give Pronto by Giada 3.75 Forks out of 4.
