Las Vegas is home to many celebrity chef restaurants. But there aren’t a lot of celebrity chef restaurants that have teamed with sports figures.

As Las Vegas continues to grow as a sports town I’m sure we will see more restaurants owned by prominent sports figures. In Downtown Summerlin, Wolfgang Puck has teamed up with Vegas Golden Knights players Alex Tuch, William Karlsson, Deryk Engelland, Reilly Smith and Shea Theodore and opened Wolfgang Puck Players Locker.

The high-end Sports Bar is located in the same spot that Puck had his original restaurant in Downtown Summerlin which he closed for the remodel and re-branding. It’s a high-end sports bar where you may run into some of your favorite Golden Knights players when they aren’t in action.

The Players Locker is the place for Golden Knights watch parties with the huge panoramic flat-screen TVs. On my visit I had The Puck Power Play Burger with fries. The burger was great as you would expect from a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, but because of the celebrity status of the chef and the players involved it’s priced like your ordering a burger on the Strip. $15 for a burger is common on the Strip but not off of it, so clearly you’re paying for the names involved.

Don’t get me wrong, the burger was excellent and my wife Lori enjoyed her Arugula salad. I didn’t order them on this trip but you can get chicken wings, Nachos which you can add chicken or beef, and there are dishes named after the players. You can get Tuch’s Reuben Sandwich and Engelland’s Fish & Chips.

Save room for dessert as they have Shea’s Gooey Deluxe which is a warm salted caramel chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. This dessert is so good.

The Players Locker boasts one of the best selections of high-end liquors. The atmosphere is really cool, and the TV wall is great for watching the Knights play. When the Knights aren’t playing, the excitement of maybe running into one of your favorite players is an added bonus.

The service was great, and the food was spot on. I give Wolfgang Puck Players Locker a Rating of 3.50 Forks.
