Race 2

THE $100K GRADE 3 JIMMY DURANTE AT A MILE ON THE GRASS WE HOPE

2yo fillies are scheduled to go a mile on the grass if the weather is fine. No. 2 Alms is in from New York for trainer Michael Stidham and jockey Paco Lopez comes along for the ride. She is two for two and both wins came on the New York grass. No. 5 Croughavouke was thought to be good enough to run in the BC juvenile turf where she was 6th in a field of 14. Chad Brown brings in No. 12 Princesa Caroline off a big maiden score. Javier Castellano is in for the ride. J R Velazquez is also in town and he rides the Richard Baltas runner No. 13 Applecross, a must use. 2-5-12-13

Race 3

Calif. bred $80k optional 2yo go six furlongs. No. 5 Square Deal gets some class relief, he owns a win over the track and that is another plus. He catches a lot of early speed and should get a perfect setup. Paco gets on No. 6 Mandy who exits the same last race as the Square Deal. 5**-6

KEY PLAY

WIN AND PLACE 5 AND AN EXACTA BOX 5-6

Race 4

THE $100K GRADE 3 RED CARPET AT A 1 3/8 ON THE GRASS FOR FILLIES AND MARES

No. 2 Lostintranzlation won here at this turf distance back in July, she will look to take these girls wire-to-wire. No. 3 Strike At Dawn is her stablemate and will fall into a nice stalking spot. No. 8 Siberian Iris exits the Grade 1 Rodeo Drive and ran second in this race last year, she will be our play. 8*-2-3

KEY PLAY

WIN AND PLACE 8 AND A KEY EXACTA BOX 8 WITH 2-3

Race 5

$40k optional runners travel 1-1/16 on the main. We like it when Baffert gives a runner a 7 furlong work and he gave one to No. 1 Justinain following a bullet. No. 6 Platinum Equity is in top form. 1-6

Race 6

THE $200K GRADE 2 SEABISCUIT AT A 1-1/16 ON THE GRASS

No. 5 Sacred Life is in from back East for Chad Brown and Javier Castellano strings along for the ride. No. 7 Prince Earl has never run a bad race and owns two wins here, one of which was the Del Mar handicap. No. 9 Cleopatra’s Strike is the stablemate of the Prince and a must use. 5-7-9

Race 7

2yo maiden fillies go six furlongs. No. 2 Crazy Speighty will go better in this her second start off of back to back five furlong works. No. 4 Diggin Gold makes her first start and really  looks like a runner off her last work. No. 5 Danceformunny ran a good 3rd first out sprinting on the grass. No. 9 Golden Principal is the stablemate of Crazy Speighty, she looks live with Drayden Van Dyke up for Baffert. No. 10 Gidgetta is a live first time starter for the hot combo of Flavien Prat and Baltas. 2-4-5-9-10

Race 8

THE $300K GRADE 1 HOLLYWOOD DERBY AT A 1-1/8 ON THE GRASS FOR 3YO

Javier Castellano is on No. 4 Digital Age for Chad Brown who also sends out No. 9 Standard Deviation with J R riding, we think one of the two will win. 4-9

Race 9

$16k runners go 5-1/2 furlongs. There is a ton of early speed in this race and that will lead us to No. 7 Surprise Fashion on the drop down, he will be flying home late at a square price. 7

Race 10

2yo maidens travel a mile on the grass we hope. No. 2 Eddie Forever just missed in his two grass routes and now Van Dyke will try and get him home on top, J R sticks around to ride No. 3 Impossible Task for John Sadler on the stretchout. No. 4 K P All Systems Go just missed gong a mile on the Santa Anita grass last out. No. 5 Forever Poe is in from New York for Don Chatlos and Mike Smith hops on this second time starter. No. 12 Media Blitz just missed on this course by a nose back in September. 2-3-4-5-12
