Maidens go six furlongs. No. 5 Da Kine looks very sneaky off the layoff for Richard Baltas, at 10-1 we will take a shot. Baltas also sends out No. 4 Peytons Path a live first time starter. Bob Baffert sends out first time starter No. 8 Justinian off a big last work and Baltas also sends out No. 11 One Nation off a good second here last out. 5-4-8-11

Race 3

$40k optional fillies and mares go sprinting five furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Fantasy Heat comes off a nice win on this course last out as does No. 4 Mischiffie. No. 7 Miss Hot Legs has run all good races and just missed in her last start here. 7**-1-4

$25k claimers go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 5 The White Shadow never got untracked last out after a slow break, look for better today. No. 6 Lagoon Macaroon looks live off the layoff. 5-6

Race 5

$80k optional 3yo travel 1-1/16 on the grass. No. 1 Gum Tree Lane comes off the layoff for Philip D’Amato and looks very sneaky. No. 4 Red Island is the speed and the stablemate of Gum Tree Lane. No. 8 Eagle Song gets Mike Smith up for the streatchout. 1-4-8

Race 6

$20k maidens go 6-1/2 furlongs. No. 6 Fait Accompli gets his 3rd start at the meet and second for Gary Stute, he finds little to beat. No. 11 Castle Gate looks the main danger on the drop. 6**-11

No. 1 Vasilika is a win machine and never runs a bad race. No. 7 Juliet Foxtrot is in from back East and is looking for her 4th straight win in the states. No. 9 Elysea’s World could upset at a price. 1-7-9

2yo maidens go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Zimba Warrior ran big here first out. No. 3 Backshot gets Mike Smith up for Baffert first out of the box, he cost $350k. Baffert also sends out No. 5 Hydrogen who ran 3rd here in his first start. 1-3-5

Race 9

THE $300K GRADE I DEL MAR DEBUTANTE AT SEVEN FURLONGS

Gotta like Mike Smith getting on No. 8 Stellar Sound for Baffert off the big win first out. No. 7 Inspiressa is highly regarded by John Sadler and could be this good. No. 4 Leucothea exits out HTW list off a 14 length win.

Calif. bred maidens go 1-1/16 on the grass. No. 3 Play Money just missed here last out and gets Victor Espinoza up today. No. 2 Jamming Eddy beat Play Money last out but had his number taken down. No. 10 Fravel exits the same race and had a ton of trouble. 10**-3-2
