DEL MAR

Race 1

Calif. bred maiden 2yo go six furlongs. No. 4 Debt Monger gets his first start for William Spawr and he puts his go to rider up. No. 5 I Will Not gets off the grass and takes the blinkers off for start number 3, he may like the change in scenery. 4-5

Race 2

$40k optional runners go sprinting five furlongs on the grass. We have speed, speed and more speed in here. We will go looking for a runner who will sit off the hot pace and run them all down late. Love to see Jose Valdivia riding again here on the West Coast, he gets on No. 4 Portando who fits the bill. He just missed on this course back in August by a head and was over his head last out. No. 7 General Interest gets a great post and Flavien Prat up for Hess, he won on this course last July, he will get the perfect setup.

No. 5 Brimstoned gets off the grass and also has a shot at a big price. No. 6 Fire When Ready won here from off the pace for a $32k price tag back in August when Rafael Bejarano rode him, he gets back on today. 4-5-6
