Maiden 2-year-old fillies travel a flat mile on the grass. No. 1 Basilia takes the blinkers off and gets jockey Mike Smith riding in this her second try at this turf distance. After her we will need to hit the all button. 1- (all)
Race 2
$62,500 optional fillies and mares go 6 1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Proud Emma hated the grass at Churchill Downs last out and will go better sprinting on the dirt and won her only start here at Del Mar. No. 3 Qahira comes off the layoff and is a perfect 2-for-2 here. No. 5 First Star is also a perfect 2-for-2 at Del Mar. 1-3-5
Race 3
$40K optional fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 1 Been Studying Her comes off of back-to-back seconds vs. better. No. 2 Mohemian Rhapsody broke her maiden first out at Los Alamitos TB when sent off at 30 cents on the dollar. No. 3 Paid Informant looks ready off the layoff and won her only start at Del Mar last year. No. 4 Golden Principal also looks very live off the layoff and is the stablemate of Mohemian Rhapsody. 1-2-3-4
Race 4
$50K starter allowance fillies and mares travel a flat mile. No. 1 Sabinos Pride gets her second start at this level and distance and had a big work on August 7. No. 3 Rather Nosy is the speed and exits the same last race as Sabinos Pride. 3**-1

California bred $20K optional fillies and mares travel a mile on the turf. No. 10 Warriors Moon gets her second start off the layoff. She will get a great stalking trip behind a fast early pace and motor home for the win. We will single and key her in the exotic’s with No. 3 Magnificent Q T who exits the same race and No. 4 Nocherylikemychery. We will also use No. 8 Nice Ice and No. 6 Charming Slew. 10** with 3-4-6-8
Race 9
2-year-old maidens go 5 1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Refunded is a first-time starter for trainer Bob Baffert. He is out of the dam Wind Caper who has dropped four winners from four starters and worked a big bullet here on Aug. 9. The CTT and TOC for fillies and mares traveling 1 3/8 miles on the grass. No. 5 Siberian Iris won this race last year and exits a good second-place finish in the Grade 3 San Juan Capistrano. No. 8 Over Thinking ships in for the dangerous trainer Victoria Oliver. Over Thinking was a neck behind Siberian Iris in this race last year. 5-8
