Race 1
$32K 3-year-old fillies go 6 1/2 furlongs. No. 3 Happy Trails ran one time in her career and it was a win at Del Mar last year. No. 4 Miss Important is in from Churchill Downs and lands in the barn of Northern California trainer Quinn Howey. Miss Important won for a $50K tag at Churchill Downs. No. 5 Dehydration just went wire to wire here on August 8th and now gets her first start off the Bob Hess Jr claim. 5-4-3
Race 2
$62,500 optional fillies and mares go five furlongs on the grass. No. 7 Querelle hopped at the start last out at this level and distance on the turf but still managed to finish second. No. 6 Gypsy Blu finished right behind Querelle. 7-6
Race 3
Maiden fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 2 As Time Goes By is a first-time starter for trainer Bob Baffert and she is by American Pharoah. Her last work indicates she is on go. No. 4 Flat Out Joy owns a good work pattern and ran some good races last year. 2***-4

$20K maiden fillies and mares travel a flat mile. No. 3 Into Victory takes the ultimate class drop here in Southern California as she moves from straight maiden races to this $20K maiden claimer and finds little to beat. We will single in the picks as she is all set for the maiden breaker. 3**

The $150K Grade 2 Del Mar Handicap at one mile on the grass. No. 3 Galilean fits off his recent form. No. 4 Mo Forza is back from Gulfstream after meeting Grade 1 company. He won the Grade 1 Hollywood Derby here last year. 3-4

$40K optional claimers go 6 1/2 furlongs. No. 2 Jamming Eddy just did miss at this level last out when going 5 1/2 furlongs. He will like the extra furlong today. No. 3 St. Joe Bay just went wire to wire last out going seven furlongs. No. 8 Drop the Chalupa gets a new rider in this his second start off the layoff.
