$32K maiden 2-year-old fillies go five furlongs. No. 6 Take Her Temp had a nice five-furlong work here on August 3rd. No. 7 Pretty Saylee showed good early speed sprinting on the grass vs. straight maidens. No. 9 Risen Lady has a shot at a price first out. 6-7-9
Race 2
$80K optional 3-year-olds travel a flat mile on the grass. No. 3 Heywoods Beach ran in the Oceanside here on opening day and comes back in this much easier spot and gets jockey Umberto Rispoli riding and blinkers go on. No. 6 Mecklenburg is in from Ireland and gets jockey Flavien Prat riding. His work pattern says he is ready. 3-6
Race 3
$8K fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 1 Speedy Gigi takes a double drop in class looking for the win. No. 2 Come On Kat gets a big class drop also looking for a win. No. 6 Easy Grader is not the runner she once was but can win at this level of competition. 1-2-6
Race 4
California bred 2-year-old maiden fillies travel a flat mile on the grass. No. 1 Big Dress has some grass breeding and gets a top grass rider. No. 3 Luxury Liner ran a good third sprinting five furlongs and will take to the trip today. No. 4 Pawnee also has some grass breeding and gets jockey Flavien Prat riding. 1-3-4
Race 5
California bred $20K optional claimers travel a flat mile. No. 2 No Name Fred is in from Golden Gate on a two-race win streak. No. 8 Rookie Mistake has been facing better and will appreciate the drop in class. No. 1 Claim of Passion is a good fit at this level. 8-2-1
Race 6
California bred 2-year-old maidens travel 1 1/16 miles on the grass. No. 1 Luvluv stretches out for trainer John Sadler and should take to the longer trip. No. 3 Table for Ten comes off back to back good efforts going a mile on the grass. No. 4 Hammering Lemon missed by a neck last out on the grass and is a must use. No. 9 Tropical Terror gets Jockey Mike Smith back aboard today. He was on this 2-year-old one race back losing by a neck. 9**-1-3-4

$50K optional fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 1 Miss Fraulein won by 10 lengths in her debut race here last year. No. 6 Sheza Girly Girl is in top form and the price will be fair. 1-6

$40K optional claimers go five furlongs on the grass. No. 2 Strongconstitution was one tough 2-year-old last year and he broke his maiden on this five-furlong grass course. No. 3 Distant Vista will like the move to a grass sprint. 2***-3

The $125K Grade 3 La Jolla at 1 1/16 miles on the grass for 3-year-olds. We will take our shot here and single No. 6 Smooth Like Strait who is back in town off a big win last out in the $100K War Chant at Churchill Downs. 6***
